Yourface Posted November 18 Report Posted November 18 I always said over the course of the regular season that the only thing Lucky brings to the table is ball security. His speed appears to be gone, he doesn’t see the field well… and in the Grey Cup you can’t even count on his ball security. I really hope it is the last we see of him in a Bombers jersey.

Someone posted Zach's Grey Cup numbers over the 5 years and even I was shocked at how bad they are. Tracker 1

Woli was sorely missed and the glue guy in that group....the comfort blanket. As @SpeedFlex27 mentioned we miss Adams and thats 100 percent true. Not so much for his ability now...but for his leadership of that group...the lead by example and the getting the guys on same page...Woli did that for us now...and where do you think he learned that? Yep. The real strength of the wr core last year was the balance. Demski and lawler didn’t need to be no 1 with schoen healthy. Plus having sheed and woli to fall back on was a huge comfort. Demski and lawler could miss if not healthy or if they had a tough game it was fine. But with the 2 safety measures gone and the true no1 out as well we see lawler is best as robin on a contender. Demski will be back and be fine I’m sure. So long as schoen and the no1 slot is sorted. Piggy 1 1

Along with the whole de fiasco, Jake the fat man, kr, and the lack of tackles. I hope, Walter’s n co learns from all that. 1 minute ago, JohnnyAbonny said: Yeah, both seem to be one trick ponies. Even on defence it took a bunch of shitty personnel at DL and LB to evolve it into a gimmick, that while somewhat successful, I’m not convinced is sustainable. If any thing the offense has devolved. As has the challenge usage. Teams got better just from some tweaks to cover type this year. But we don’t do any thing special or great. For the Dl, if we flip ratio else where and use Lawson in a rotation with mostly Americans I think it’ll work. But at that point we need better range from lbers. Jones is good in the tackle box vs the run but not in coverage. I would prefer to go out and get an elite pass rusher in free agency to play opposite wj, and return to a 40 front with the 30 being a situational thing. It’s a great package but shouldn’t be our base. Piggy 1 and JohnnyAbonny 2

ShyGuy Posted November 18 Report Posted November 18 I feel bad for Brady. He is a dude who seems like he really cares and despite the game plan seemingly always being pass heavy, by my math he is now 6th all time in Grey Cup Rushing yards despite being 0-3 (82 in 22, 119 in 23 and 84 in 24) which puts him behind Robert Drummond in #5 @ 312 and ahead of Jackie Parker at 275 Tracker, JohnnyAbonny, wbbfan and 1 other 1 3

Couldn’t get Argos off the field, too many long 2nd down conversions. the kept the argos under 20 points until zach came in with a cut finger and started giving the ball away like it's going out of style.... all this whil the offence can't string any drives together or get first downs. Some of you don't look at TOP when assessing the defence. They gave that team every chance in the world to win last night, but you do need the offence to hold onto the ball too and score some points. 1 hour ago, Booch said: he's one best receivers in the league....and I like talent....and that first non catch...which I think was a catch wasn't the difference in game...that is same as a toe touch/toe drag across the sideline.....he totally got toe in and then touched out of bounds...Osh should have challenged that.... i think he got jobbed on that too, however if Lawler puts in some effort it's not even a question. and was it the difference? no not in the big picture but it would have been an early first down and some good plays in a game where they struggled to get going offensively. It was a symptom of the entire offense. Players not being mentall sharp. For a guy like Lawler who as you say is one of the best in the league, and paid like it to boot he has to be better. When you're at that level you don't get to make excuses. Milt went out in grey cups and made catches with guys draped all over him all the time. The argos receivers went out and made plays in traffic. Too many excuses for guys who don't need them. 1 hour ago, Bubba Zanetti said: -Offensive play calling was garbage(HELLO, youve got the best player in the league running the ball, RUN THE F**KING BALL MORE). what do you do when Brady gets 5 yards on first down and the reciever drops the pass that would have been a first and you're off the field? that's not a play call problem.
Jets Posted November 18 Report Posted November 18 The Argos seem to lose a few of their good guys to free agency every year the last couple years and every year they find a few more new guys to take their spots and be effective. We seem to have the opposite problem where we keep holding onto guys way past their primes and get to watch them fade away into nothing and be ineffective (Alexander, Taylor, Thomas, Willie - although he was actually good in the cup game, Bighill, Zach, Kyrie Wilson, Sheehan) all are below average at this point and not getting it done anymore.
TBURGESS Posted November 18 Report Posted November 18 Buck used the same scheme as he did last week. We didn't come up with the bombs this week & he didn't change anything. Why on earth did he call a deep ball for Collaros on his first throw with a glove? Fatty Liver, Bigblue204, JohnnyAbonny and 1 other 2 2

TBURGESS Posted November 18 Report Posted November 18 Buck called the play. The read took Collaros to the deep throw.
17to85 Posted November 18 Report Posted November 18 It's not a bit of both, collaros is told to read the field and throw the ball to the open guy... he correctly saw Wilson was open deep the throw just ******* sucked. On the short one, I actually think Collaros didn't do anything wrong and that he made the "smart" read when he saw blitz: he picked his man that was in the area that the blitz was coming from. It wasn't a bad throw either. It was Priester, who knew where a smart QB would throw it, who jumped forward into the passing lane.
