Ya don't quote me, but I believe the CFL On TSN is its own product that TSN airs. The people working on it are, essentially, freelancers. I have no idea what the rates are in that situation, or how much Lapo would be making.

My sizeable gut tells me that working on the broadcasts would pay well... The offseasons are less work than being a coach.... I'd bet an HC makes more, but coordinators likely make less.

If Lapo owns his YouTube content outright (and isn't subsidiary to Bell/TSN) and gets enough followers, that can pay fairly well, as well....

Milt and Davis Sanchez also host a podcast together.  You get the feeling the TSN crew is trying to diversify their portfolios just in case the big axe comes out again.

It's probably too nerdy for most viewers.

That could be part of it. I know a bunch of guys who do really well on yt with football nerdy content. Might not have the same market share up here though.
Might be entertainment quality, he’s a bit dry. Production quality really varies a lot. Might just need to find a way to each his market.

I know few people who do a youtube channel of their farm. One guy is a dairy farmer, he has paid for getting a new house built, with $$ from his yt channel

Farm channels are really popular with urban viewers

YouTube does not pay well at all,   he would have to get in the 100 000 of views per video to make any decent money from ad revenue or potential sponsors.   The CFL is far to niche to reach that level.

I'm guessing the TSN panel members make $50  000 - 75 000 per year.    That's what Glass Door suggests and it's Canadian Football.... the States pays way more because they have a significantly larger viewing audience and budget.

Really? That’s pretty neat I’ve never heard of that niche before.

He’s gonna be like 38 too. Long snapping can be pretty hard on the body especially considering he played before they protected the LS from dirty shots.

I would’ve figured 100k floor for full time guys. It’s not a lot of days but you can’t really work in football and be on the panel full time.

FINALLY! A glimmer of hope for change. I would be open to keeping Walters but would like to know his rationale for letting O;Shea do this to the Bombers and what he sees as needing change.

Oh darn!

I feel like in general coaches contracts will come up then be renewed with the way the cap works now. To min max things.

pretty wild we have 2 ast coaches up for a total of 3 jobs, and 2 front office types up for gm roles.
We’ve had one here two there now and then. With half the time the guy declining or pulling out. Never before have we had 4 guys taking interviews at once.
Makes me think, is this the exodus? We’ve struggled to retain and regain guys with out over pays.

It’ll be really some thing to see how we do retaining guys, and luring in new guys on the field and off. We should be in the market for new cfl vet players coaches and front office types.

3DN's trick is to dissect the same public videos off the Internet anybody can watch and extrapolate 10 articles out of them, without the need to attend, or ask a single question.  "Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain".

Do what? Take us to 5 straight championship games. Why ppl pretend we are the joke of the league when it’s the opposite is beyond me. I mean really. What exactly has O’Shea done besides be the winningest coach in our history. Besides winning 2 cups. Going to 5 prob 6 straight really. What a failure huh. Much better to be Calgary or Hamilton.

Walters quotes today were just fabulous. Mocking the media for daring to suggest anything positive made me chuckle.

Management..coaching...players...eventually get stale and don't work...happens...reluctantance to change too is generally a death sentence

People fall back to the argument yeah won 2 grey cups...5 trips...yeah so what...it's easily argued part of this regime was directly responsible for 3 flops too...goes both ways and in a what have u done for me business...they have failed in 3 straight seasons now...a 4th for falling back on old dumb habits and ideals should be the see ya later thanks for everything

Bringing back and labeling Thomas...Biggie...Wilson...BA...at minimum as starters and key pieces is a sign that nobody above the coordinator's have learned a thing

19/21 was a long time ago. Especially in football years. The same people who are content with 5 cups and 3 straight losses were the same ones mad at getting no respect in 21 and forward because cf/this team that team were past it. We were Hamilton in 19/21 the last two years. Now we’re struggling to maintain that level.
And the same people who won’t be happy when we are at best the 3rd best team going into next year in power rankings.

19/21 team is never coming back from this squad. The only way back to that level is building up. We can’t maintain the status quo and expect to do better or as good any more.

I watched it and was surprised when he talked about Ford. Is it just me or did he kinda say that he'll go elsewhere for a big contract?

He did heavily insinuate that. And that they are happy to see guys like him and desjarlais leave for big pay days. 🤢

Did you expect him to say we're moving on from those players at this press conference? A lot of negotiations still have to take place

Ford is looking for NFL looks and he may end up there for at least part of next year imo.

Interesting article in the WFP about Walters presser, hints that 2025 might be Zach's last year.

I'd love to see a guy like Powell in for a year to develop behind Zach. However wtf do I know, maybe Wilson is the guy.

I'd love to see a guy like Dru Brown not extend this offseason and then come back at the end for 2026. I can't imagine Ottawa leaves him hang this year, but a guy can dream...

Yea that's not what Walter's said, he just stated that his contract will run out just like his last one did. The media was squawking about the same thing last time.....they(Miller, Walter,MOS) trust each other, strange huh?

I could see ford getting an extended look down south. He got a look off our bench the previous year. He certainly deserves it for his play this year.

In that case I’d go hard after brown to come back.
