No one thinks he's the bees knees... just that he's better than you give him credit for.

I give him credit for being adequate....nid teir maybe.....I not happy with adequate for 140k per yr

Not sure why people wondering what Vaughters has left in tank...he'ss only 31 and has limited wear and tear from a few yrs testing the NFL....he gives us off the edge what we have lacked since JJ left and thats power to collpase and good inside technique...can see this really complimenting WJ

Garbutt has a well rounded skill set but has to elevate now too...can he...will he get the chance....but he was essentially a rookie last yr learning as he went ans playing a lot that SchmeckThomas combo did none our other dline guys any favours

Persons tho is the guy I really keen on....He was a legit NFL prospect for a pass rush specialist, but they wanted him bigger and he balked at that....he's perfect for the CFL tho

Linebacker is what I curious about...The recent Jones signing is a biggie....and preferably our jones is the 4th guy...rotates in at various ways and isnt anointed the defactoMLB...as we know we like to do that around here regardless if they are worthy of it...He has some holes in his game and gets exposed for it a lot if he is 90% snap guy. If Kyrie is actually healthy,,,and stays healthy I have no issues with him as a transitional guy this yr while we groom his replacement...Healthy Wilson is top of league in his position

Same with Kramdi...I know a lot of you here think he's the bee's knees but he is gawd awful in coverage and open fiield tackling...he's a good situational guy and in and around the box when we slide him up...but at 140k per he should be a divison and league all-star..and he's not...and he wont

Griffin or Parker there would be ideal and use Kramdi as super sub like we did with Griffin....Make it a oint to have Kelly take over safety....and find another via draft or free agency to also play there....thats your National spot and allow yur front 7 to be your best and most athletic...You can spell off with a Lawson on the line withh a solid rotation...and With Kramdi ala Griffin...

My concern with vaughters is outside of power he’s really marginal athletically. Hes not Jake Thomas slow, but he is slow as hell. If his bull rush fails, he’s basically sol. He’s at that age you wonder when he will lose a step. When that happens, it’s over for him imo. At least on the edge. He could probably be a strong pass rusher from inside for a while after that happens.
imo, inside as an imp, he’s behind woods fox and adams, in that adams can develop a lot still. While also being behind Lawson. And the inevitable wasting of the entire game in one spot on Jake Thomas.

I don’t expect us to make the best use of vaughters. If he loses any thing on that first step he’s cooked on the edge.

He’s tied for the highest paid db on the team, tied for 3rd on the D.
In an off season we are looking at losing two starting Canadians in free agency, both of whom are better at their position than Kramdi is, that’s a tough pill to swallow.

Kramdi is 70% a contract problem. He did step up last year and if he continues to play at that level it’ll be tenable. It sets a horrible standard for us with the NI and dbs though. It’s a real boat anchor of a deal.

Would love to see Greene (BC) here.

He is the best. Disappointed but not surprised he re-signed with Argos. I remember Janarion single-handedly won a couple of close games for Winnipeg while he was here. A sacrilege that the Bombers let a game-changer like him get away.

Well, that was one thing....another is that we replaced him with junk..

Oh I'm not getting into contract details, just focusing on what he does on the field.

All Kramdl does is make plays, he improved every year.  The thing is he doesn't miss that first step. I can't remember hardly any plays ly where a defensive breakdown occurred that you could point at him.As for losing 2 better cdns Ford is better than most in the entire league and saying Dobson is , questionable.

That’s not the case. He puts him self into positions to make plays in the run game. Hes 50/50 on finishing them. In the pass game, hes not any kind of play maker.

you could look at much of the first 4 ish games last year and see him fail in our scheme several times a game. He did get it sorted after that though.

dobson isn’t remotely questionable. He’s head and shoulders better at his position after his first year of starting. He’s gonna get a good offer from 3-4 teams in the league. Kramdi wouldn’t get the same offer from 2.

IF there is one glaring mistake that Walters has made, regrets, and could wash away in his time here, it has to be letting Grant walk...I don't know what the hell he was thinking when he made that move...I still shake my head when I see Janarion tearing it up on returns.... that part of our game has literally died and I hope we have something in the wings for 25'

Some people blinded by what Osh claims...he's by far a complete player to be paid what he is and he doesn't just "make plays"

He's good in a couple facets..but he's horrible in coverage...he at times out in space looks lost and misses his play and he is not a good in space tackler...he's good crashing down and in the scrum but in space was prob our worst db

And that salary and the others tied into the secondary are killing us...his 140 would be better served with Ford and SAM is easily replaced for under 100k

I guess these are just mirages...Winnipeg Blue Bombers Redha Kramdi 2024 Regular Season Highlights

Winnipeg Blue Bombers Redha Kramdi 2023 Regular Season Highlights

Im not saying hes an allstar, but hes not as bad as some make out (btw his salary is at 125K , only way he gets higher is by winning awards or allstar selections. Which is reasonable for cdn starter.)

Every player in history has a highlight reel lmao

BTW, only 3k of his 140k max salary is based on awards, stats, or games played. So he earned 137k last year, He got 25k in an upfront bonus, 13,800 in housing bonus.

He was able to be solid as the inside wall player on the 4 man side of the match zone concept, with the 2 quickest athletes on our team around him. He's a good role starter, being paid on par with the best db on our team and the best in the league.

I challenge any one to find a starting db last year in he cfl with fewer pass knock downs, picks, and forced fumbles. He has a strong knack for coming up into the box and making plays, on his own and on blitzes. He's a dave donaldson clone.

I was going by 3dwn for the salary which might have been a mistake,,, is there a better source?(just asking)

13) Redha Kramdi, Winnipeg Blue Bombers (N)

Hard money: $125,000
Maximum value: $139,000

A rare Canadian starter at strongside linebacker, Kramdi’s unicorn status is reflected in his $86,200 salary and $25,000 signing bonus. The 27-year-old is also entitled to $13,800 for housing, as well as $1,000 for either form of all-star selection and $2,000 for a divisional or league award, with the ability to cash in up to three times at each level.

so 86.2+25+13.8=124.8 hard money. ly he had 5 knockdowns (about middle of the pack in dbs, and 6 tackles for loss which was top 5)

Every player will make plays and u can make a reel on...his salary was posted as 139k last yr...and Walters doesn't do incentive laden deals

Kramdi "appears" to be getting better even if it is at a slower pace.     He doesn't look completely lost or over matched when he is on the field.

Jake Thomas on the other hand.....  that's an easy guy to rag on because his ceiling is low and it only is going to get worse.

His ceiling fell in and went through the floor and he's in the basement now with all that rubble on him as he tippy toes around it and has the odd play run right into him
