He needs a crew cut on that salary. I’m sure he sees it coming. 200-220 is the top imo on him.
If schoen isn’t gonna be healthy to start the year though, we are in a poor position as we will need a guy like lawler.
But I’d try FA if he doesn’t want a team friendly deal. The ratio of money he’s made since he hit FA compared to the production is the most lopsided in league history.

If he not healthy...whoever we sign or bring in not named Lawler will give us a weak group...ZC doesn't flourish in a weak group

No and no..

Oh 100 percent...I don't think he will hold us to the coals either

Demski tho...man if we coukd rework that one. Wheatfall has potential...but so did a lot of other guys...and we know how ZC likes to favor and zero in on 2 guys all the time

Schoen is still a big question mark too..what's he gonna be like...acl returnees ...especially in skilled positions at times have a mental hurdle more than a physical one and at wr that spit second hesitation is huge...he already takes a serious pounding more than any other receiver I have seen...so continually being pummeled as ZC will prob feed him more than he should can be a recipe for disaster

I see no reason why we can't or wouldn't fit Lawler in at 225-235...slap a bonus in there even to motivate him even tho he doesn't

I am hoping Schoen will be 100 but we gotta hedge our bets

Maybe nobody is overly keen taking it on due to...this ...or that....

I doubt that's the problem. We got the tools to make any half decent OC look good. Might be cash strapped for the position.

That’s a good point. Zach and this offence offers a lot of assets, but not a lot of flexibility. You’ve gotta run heavy in an inside zone scheme, and you have to cater deep ball stuff for zach.  And you better succeed instantly.
If that was the case with Miller and Jackson, I’d get a pass game co to work with Marty and make him the oc.

I still want to know why ZC was still in the Grey Cup game after suffering a game-changing injury to the finger on his throwing hand with 2:35 left in Q3 and Bombers down by just 7.  Any experienced OC would've instantly gone with the backup QB and focused on feeding Brady - unless Bombers OC was overruled.

Zac needs receivers who kno where Zac wants to go when he is off script.

The guy is stellar when he's in the lineup..just hasn't happened enough to justify the dollars

I think we all want a satisfactory answer to that question, but I don’t think there is one.

yep and to be fair, 300k for a wr in the cfl today you need to be like 2k every year.

What’s interesting to me is would have ZC been pissed if he had been pulled after his injury? My guess he would have been more disappointed than pissed which would have made it ironic in the explanation we received on why he wasn’t pulled.
It was a head scratcher but onto 2025.

When he's featured and on.. Demski is a #1 .... it just feels like he disappears and I'm not sure if it is him... the game plan.... or if it is Zach.

The designed plays where Demski runs a deep post seems to always work... outside of his few ill time fumbles he seems to make plays when the balls goes his way.

Weeks 4-10 without Lawler and Schoen

Apparently fox tweeted out some thing cryptic about thanking the fans and franchise here. Sounds like he might be moving on one way or another.
Love the talent, but woods passed him easily for sure plus with Lawson back this year it makes sense. A guy like ceresna you make room for, though I don’t think we will be in on him. I think it’s gonna be Thomas (groan) and Lawson in one spot with woods, hopefully adams plus a crop of young guys, plus vaughters taking some inside reps plus the 30 front base reps. Then Willy vaughters and Garbutt going into camp on top of the edge reps with a crop of rookies.

I think our penny pinching for FA spending will mostly be more bargain oriented guys like Mitchell.

Mitchell could be considered semi-expensive.

Now, don't ask questions like that as you'll upset some people here who think Osh does no wrong. They'll roll their eyes.

Not my first choice with his injury history but he'd be interesting as a 3rd QB/Mentor.

Arbuckle, Shiltz, Cameron Duke...any could be a better option than Masoli or sticking with Dolegala.

I'm not sure that any of those options are obviously better than Dolegala.

I’m sure that they quite probably all are

I’d like to see us use fa to upgrade at RT. Three Americans on the line is my hope for this season.

I’d love this. Be a very good way to potentially shift some spending.
