Are you referring to his post-GC remarks about having earned the right to know why he didn't touch the ball more? He wasn't the only one wondering what happened.

11 touches, I think 0 of them came when Wilson was in at QB, none when Zach came in with 91/2 fingers. We all wanted to ask Buck what the heck happened there. I read it as he wanted to do more for his team  but wasn't able to, it was out of his hands.

This is his value as a pro player.  He's a specialist, he can play a role, and he can step in to win a game or two.  He's not a guy who can live in the pocket either.

Have to hope he's physically intact and has some durability left to play that role.

Need a QB who can run a full CFL passing offense around too just in case there's a longer-term need.

From what I've seen on instagram Chris looks very good, and his rehab has gone quite well. He was doing box jumps the other day, considerably higher than I can! ( I can do a 3 foot box jump on a good day! )

yup...Strev offers us value in may ways....still technically has upside potential....is athletic....JT offers none of that

Dropping dole for dukes makes sense to me. I’m not crazy over dukes, but he’s got a lot more potential and a similar floor. I’d be happy to boot dole early and bring in a rookie development guy.

I’m honestly more excited about Dukes potential than Strevelers.  Dukes is still young enough to learn. I liked him when he played for the Argos. Hit a wall it seemed but think there’s potential there with him.

Yeah I like Dukes, I think he has potential. He’s only 26 years old, at the start of the season some people were considering him maybe the next great young QB, I thought in his first career start in 2023 against us he was great.  This season was a little more of a mixed bag but really his numbers were not much different then Chad Kelly’s, at the very least he’s a mobile QB who you can trust to put a drive together if you need him, at best I think he can be a potential starter in the league.

Sorry this still kills me. And I know its apples to oranges but the god damn Eagles are in the super bowl with the best rb this year. Everyone knows they're gonna run, and yet they do it anyway and win. We had the best God damn rb in the league and rather than just say we win or lose, feed him, the excuse was "they'll just jam the box". Well ******* let them. Better that than asking a qb to do something he's never done while injured

I'm still excited to see Wilson get better. I thought he did well in season when called on...I don't think he completed a pass in the GC but I remember liking his pocket presence.

Your right tho...even if they "jam" the box you need to be able to combat it...that was just a built in excuse for a poor game plan...plain and simple...scheme to counter it...not abandon...lame lame

He has great pocket poise...and he actually surveys the field...and when he escaped the pocket...he still looks to pass...but he can gouge you with his running if you aren't smart in contain...he's gonna be good and I can see in 2026 he being 1a and Strev 1b as Wilson learns the game

Go to camp with Zach Strev Dole Dukes and Wilson. May the best 3 (collaros plus 2) make it. Wilson can be the developmental QB even. Prob could stash him on 1 game IRs.

Wilson was really good on short yardage for us last season,  that alone is enough reason for me to keep him over Dole-banana.

His arm strength is what caught my attention immediately.

He has all the tools you could want.

Raw talent, Athleticism, and arm. He can be a dual threat and run package stuff but he tends to take what’s in front of him. Not a run to run instinct guy. He’s a run to throw guy who’s dangerous with his legs. Strong guy to not just his arm, Carried some tacklers in college and pushed piles. But great arm stuff. Power, accuracy and touch. 

Poise, this was a big one for me. From ps up he never looked scared or like pressure affected him negatively. It just changes what’s available and he looks to take what’s open. 

Mental toughness, competitiveness. Stepping in in that spot and not only being calm/in control but going for the throat like that.

And mechanics looks real good. Like his foot work and quick release. He’s got a great economy of movement in his upper and lower body. He can change his release point when the pocket collapses or is on the run as well. His release is soo clean it almost looks like he’s short arming it then the ball just launches from his hand. 

 

it’ll come down to what’s between his ears now. I’ve got no questions on the rest of his stuff.  If he can run an offense at the pro level and execute pre and post snap reads he’s gonna go far fast. 
Dru brown took a long time to polish up. Scary terry doesn’t look like he will need all that time.

The Eagles have a tremendous OL. . Add tto that a running back like Barkley & no one can stop their run game. Our OL is old, we have an undersized & overrated Center in Kolankowski & a Guard in Neuf who has seen better days. No comparison. Having said that, it still was a better alternative running the ball than letting Zach come back in with a badly mangled finger throwing 2 six picks to blow a close game wide open. Cue the Osh smirk.

For the brief amount time he was in while ZC was getting his fingered reattached, his poise in the pocket was looking good but you’re in-between his ears will be his next big challenge.
