Saw they corrected it … looks like it was meant to be Robbie Lowes

Moved to retired. We still had his rights? Iirc he was drafted in 21 and had a bad injury. Think he came back for a camp another year and was cut. I don’t think he was in camp last year.

I’ll be happy to have ayers if he’s back. I’d love to see Ayers and Jon jones on the field together.

Ayers is under contract and the NFL window is now closed for players under contract I believe., He should be back.

we could do a hell of a lot worse than Jones/Jones/Ayers/Wilson as a group of 4...an athletic and active group...not overly concerned there really tho a legit thumper in the middle would have been ideal....but a nice group to go into camp with in addition to new prospects

he is a good coach but all good coaches run their course....name one in the CFL that has coached forever?....and ever....and quit when he felt it was time?.....I'll wait for the answer......also....great coaches don't make the same errors yr...after yr...after yr....and then can't admit they ****** up...there is also that......and Just as Strev said....sometimes you need new juice...new ideas....new people....goes for coaches too ya know....if and when he is gone...we will be just fine if the management above is still as is.....aka...competent...I know you think Osh can do no wrong and he is the sole reason of any success...its your choice and and can see your reasoning....I dont share that same feeling......Ican be a ****** and say you talking out your ass, but find it un called for....obviously you feel otherwise.....its ok.....I have skin....

Not trying to be an ass, just clarifying what your position is on MOS. You think he should be fired. That's your opinion and you are welcome to it. Just so that it is clear to me, and everyone else, what the motivation for your criticism is, I do not feel Osh is the sole reason for our success at all, far from it. I just feel we would not be able to upgrade on him and I feel he and Walters have done an excellent job together in building quality football teams.

If you think MOS's time has expired with our team, that certainly is a possibility. I just don't believe that a coach necessarily has an expiry date. I believe players do and that the coach needs to recognize that, but I also can see the logic in a coach being loyal to guys and how that can help the locker room and recruitment/retention. Either way it's a balancing act for sure, but one that can be maintained even if the scale tips one way or the other occasionally. At the end of the day, the players still speak glowingly of him, play very hard and disciplined for him, and the culture and locker room is strong. I guess I'm not seeing the end of the road yet, as you are. That's not me being chicken little or in denial, that's just my opinion based off results year over year. You see some mistakes he is making and think they outweigh the positives, I see mistakes he is making and think they do not outweigh the positives, there really is no definitive winner of this argument. It's solely opinion on both our parts and we are both entitled to them is all I'm saying. Neither of us can prove each other wrong, nor do I feel the need to do so on my part. You will bring up the negatives of MOS, I will bring up the positives, it's the ying and the yang of this forum's discussion about him I guess.

For what it's worth.  the media (what's left of it) hardly asks the tough questions anymore. Only one writer I know tries to sift through the bullshit that comes from the Bombers marketing department or football operations. Whenever he asks the tough questions, people here on this forum & outside start insulting that one writer that still has an edge to his columns. "He's always been a prick." "He's just an ass.". "What a dickhead he is" come from the fans.

That certain writer can't write a negative piece about the Bombers without getting blow back from fans here & elsewhere. He can't ask the Trinity any hardball questions as they are untouchable.

I remember some media types like Jack Matheson & John Robertson who would hold coaches & GM's feet to the fire. Or write columns that would piss these Bomber coaches off.  Matheson & Bud Riley had a feud that lasted Riley's entire tenure here. There was bad blood between them probably from his breaking a story in 1974 that Don Jonas & Riley did not get along which led to the Ealey for Jonas trade. On top of that, Matheson had a football show on CJOB where he could tee off on the team live on the air. Matty was epic. He took no **** from anyone.

These sorts are absent now and sorely missed. I listened to British post-soccer game comments when the home team lost- little short of of vicious.

no...never said he needs to be fired right now.....but another dissapointing loss...of avoidable reasons.....why not?.......regardless tho we would  be just fine if we move on too...success wont start and end with him....and coaches get stale and the message stops working....and yes...they have expiry dates.....seen it first hand with good coaches....no knock on anyone just way it is....you can see it in some the players...and also some the sound bites....and also in some of the off the record convo's

Our years of futility and embarrassment fell more on the management and how things were ran and ...not ran...we are in a good place...template is etched in stone...only an absolute moron in the management role...and then extended into who they would bring in to coach would derail things....

Players will always speak glowingly in the media....and should play hard for the team...regardless of who is running the ship....anything less and they should be gone....Culture too is curated by the players....Osh himself even says he rarely goes in the room and lets them dictate the narrative....He and Walters and Miller for sure curated it...that being said...it isn't rocket science or a new concept this "good culture "and "environment" and treating players as family and pro's....That want invented here....it was brought to the fore front tho and sorely needed....and for what it is worth that was Miller's and Walter's intention before anyone was hired, and Osh shared their same vison and also I am sure brought some extra Osh stuff with him that made it what it is

his mistakes have cost us dearly...3 straight championships, and in all honesty....a lot of his success is attributed to the x's and o's his staff put together...any good coache's success is...as for most part a HC should be hands off and let his assistants do what they were hired for...and step in and over ride things if he see's things going off the rails and or a less than optimal plan....and thats where he has a serious fault as it seems he has no desire to do that...is it he can't even see it himself....has no clear answer to adjust?....who knows...but it is pretty apparent...I bring up his positives, but also will bring up his negatives...a couple of which are almost fatal

You are welcome to your opinion, and who knows you might be right. If we regress this season, I may join you in this opinion. Just not willing to do so yet as we have won our division 5 straight years.

I, along with many others in bomberland will be watching closely...I have a bad feeling, after seeing so many departures in free agency, and seeing what has been brought on board...Certainly we have picked up some talent BUT will it be enough to perpetuate the winning ways we have been accustomed to....Sure hope so.... the jury is out

OK, I CAN'T WATCH ANYMORE FA, NOR WILL I BE ATTENDING THE GC TO WATCH OTTAWA VS SASKATCHEWAN...SEAN MCCEWN HAS SIGNED IN SASK. RIDERS HAVE THE BEST QB ROOM AND THE BEST OL AND A TOUGH D...RIDERS WILL WIN THIS IN A WALK....WINNIPEG IS OFFICIALLY ASLEEP AT THE WHEEL. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON IN THOSE OFFICE'S??? THIS IS REALLY BAD.

They don't though... Not the best OL or QB room by a mile.

It is a really good move, not too surprising. They try to buy an OL every year basically.

Can anyone confirm the contract status of Koala? I believe he is FA but wondering if anyone knows for sure. Really praying we have a better option for C this year, even if it's not McEwen.

Posted

I hope our extra cap space can be used to attract a couple of really good yankees

need 2 lineman with star potential, 1 ol, 1 dl

would also like to see a very talented lb

the rest of the us recruits as per usual

we need 2 starters/prodigees from the cfl draft

something like this could introduce new energy for the team as a whole and even make MOS smile

The 1 or 2 beat writers around the team don't dare criticize The Trinity because they'll be crucified. Or worse, may lose their credentials. The days where the local media flocked down to Winnipeg Stadium to cover the team every practice are over. Teams control the message now.

You know how to shut these wankers up? Laugh & say, "Just say 4 Grey Cups in 120 years?" That usually does it.

He’s not.

Kolankowski signed a two-year contract extension to remain with the club on January 29th, 2024.

right now we have zero proven depth on our Oline....none...and we dont even know who is at right guard....we weaker than last yr and how is that even possible? One of Eli and Wallace will grab a spot.....and or be the extra oline guy...and thats factoring Kolo at center...which is still a weak spot...3 yrs running now...If Eli is allowed to compete for Center and take it over Kolo isnt even a good candidate for the 6th giy as he is only serviceable at center....and thats being generous.....if someone was to go down we would have to shuffle other guys on the oline to make it work....and I have a shiiity feeling we gonna have to waste a DA on an import olineman this yr unless we go with a straight outta University guy

Again hamstringing our roster with a useless DA like we did with Mr Marine......

Dline much the same...we have 2 ends who we know can play....thats it....2 promising interior guys who we know are gonna be getting reps taken away by drip and drop Canadians.....sure we have Lawson back which helps, but anyone with half a brain and knows the man love Osh has for Thomas that he gonna get more than too many reps in lieu of him...Our dline as much as many claim that Haba and Garbutt and Fox were no loss...is a lot weaker

Not sure what the plan is, but to me looks like there wasnt much of one and we didnt pursue anyone to shore up our lines.....or.....we lost out on players not named Ceresna because they flat out didnt wanna come here....or.....Osh indicated to Walters that " we good"...I leaning more to the "we good" side until proven otherwise after camp and maybe he makes the tough cuts
