17to85 Posted March 9 Report Posted March 9 Alexander was such a key piece for this team's rise. Even when he was clearly past his prime last season it's so hard to say bad things about the guy. Tracker, wpgallday1960, Piggy 1 and 4 others 1 5 1
SpeedFlex27 Posted March 9 Report Posted March 9 All things come to an end. He was a great player for us.

His agent clarified he's still looking to play next season. "He took to social media on Sunday to thank the team for their time together, which some outlets, including this one, interpreted as a retirement message. Instead, Alexander’s agent reached out to 3DownNation to explain that his client isn’t retiring and is still actively looking for his next playing opportunity." I figured the reality of the situation had set in on him that he wasn’t getting signed by this point too. Guess not, not much of a chance he gets another look any where. 1 hour ago, bigg jay said: Yeah was hoping he'd go the Mike Miller route and stick around as a coach but if he still has the itch to play then I guess it wasn't meant to be. A lot of vets get that thought from us on their way out, but ba is legit one of the best candidates for coaching. Might make more sense to have him under Jy after hall retires though. Noeller 1
rebusrankin Posted March 9 Report Posted March 9 Has Alexander expressed an interest in coaching? Am I wrong or did he train as a teacher?
Noeller Posted March 9 Report Posted March 9 I remember our incredible head coach 😁 saying something about how BA had a really bright future in coaching because he was always operating in that role even as a player. rebusrankin and bigg jay 1 1

Goalie Posted March 9 Report Posted March 9 (edited) Best of luck to BA in his future endeavours. Another good dude. He was a real one. Changed the secondary when he moved to safety. Prob deserves a spot on the ring of honor down the line and another veteran bites the dust. Bighill and BA, both were obvious. The other one should have been 95 days until camp. I don't think Miller had any coaching aspirations but it happened. I only thought it might be a possibility for BA based on the way he's been described as essentially being an on-field coach for us. rebusrankin 1

Where do the other Bomber fans like to congregate? Glad to hear it! I haven't observed that Bomber fans congregate in a particular section. That pretty much only happens when Hamilton or Montreal attend. Just try not to be on the East side for an evening game - the setting sun is blinding. Let me know which game and we'll meet up at the TG.

rebusrankin Posted March 10 Report Posted March 10 When it comes to Jake Thomas, the situation is like this, if you ask MOS
Goalie Posted March 10 Report Posted March 10 (edited) I don’t know. I think the only way Thomas isn’t on the roster day 1 is he gets injured in camp for the year. ACL or something. Broken leg. I dunno. Serious injury but part of me wants to believe there’s a chance he won’t be cuz they cut him once, why not again. Drop him like the American stock market. Edited March 10 by Goalie
Noeller Posted March 10 Report Posted March 10 As long as the younger kid doesn't get hurt again this year, I really think Jake will go back to the limited reps. He only played so much last year because the kid got hurt and they were absolutely committed to a NI DT for whatever reason. MOBomberFan and wbbfan 2

Pete Catan's Ghost Posted March 11 Report Posted March 11 With all of life's uncertainty and chaos, there will be something mildly comforting in watching him amble onto the field for very limited reps.

I just hope Thomas doesn’t eat up woods snaps. Noeller, Piggy 1, rebusrankin and 1 other 3 1
