Sure but like I said, it's a math problem as well. I'm hoping Ayers is back. I can't remember if we had 4 import LB's on the roster at the same time. Cole we be # 4 IMO for the reasons you mentioned but are we convinced O'Shea are willing to not put Bighill on the roster. To a certain degree I was surprised we re-signed Wilson so that leads me to think we might see Bighill returns.

Not counting dbs taking half the snaps at wil last year and sams prior to Kramdi, we’ve frequently had 3 with a di lber playing teams. I believe we have a few times had 4 imp lbers just between wil and Mac. In 18 I believe we had all of biggie, wild, jsk and kyrie on the ar once or twice.

Now we have Kramdi at SAM, otherwise there would be 3 starting import LB's and probably a DI. Things have changed with starting more than 7 Canadians overall in the past couple of seasons. I think we expect to lose Ford one way or another. What happens on the OL if we lose Dobson could change our ratio. I'm not against 4 import LB's on the AR so it's a wait and see who we do or don't re-sign including another import LB in free agency. There are always some good ones potentially available like the one the Argos released. Where any of them fit in regarding SMS is the other question. wbbfan 1

If you got a guy like cole who can play some sam and S and is really good on teams while also being able to play wil it's easy to see him as a 4th imp lber. Even Ayers, Could be groomed to do some of that and brings a ton of value on teams. Piggy 1 and Tracker 2

Since we start 8 Canadians we have roster within the ratio to have one import that is on the AR but not a DI. As you've suggested it's blurred at the moment. Do choose to start 4 imports on the DL with the Canadians as the rotation players and still have an import DL as a DI? Cole could be the DI or extra as a substitute DB but I don't think that would be the direct choice if we add him. IMO he'd be used in a more traditional role as a LB rather than a coverage player per se. All of this is somewhat in the expectation of losing Ford and giving us 1 more ratio option than we'll have needing to start another import at CB. It also presumes we do not lose Ayers and choose not to re-sign Bighill. I'm waiting to see what happens with both of those questions. There should be more players re-signing this week but which happen 1st is a TBD. rebusrankin 1

Noticed Durant has gone back to milking his Rider roots, guesting on The Sports Cage semi-regularly, guess he's found that one place in the wide wide world that will pay him some attention.

GCn20 Posted January 20 Report Posted January 20 (edited) 10 minutes ago, Tracker said: And carry the stigma of having been a Rider. A fate worse than death. Nah.,...he was one of the bus drivers of that stigma in recent times. He has to wear it because he was impactful in it's creation. No player wears the modern time locker room problem that the RIders are an undisciplined bunch of prima donnas more than Darian Durant. He was a chief architect of their locker room spiral that they still can't figure out how to correct. However, I do agree that being a Rider, at any time, is problematic. 1 hour ago, Fatty Liver said: Noticed Durant has gone back to milking his Rider roots, guesting on The Sports Cage semi-regularly, guess he's found that one place in the wide wide world that will pay him some attention. He was outright begging for a job with them this offseason, but Bomber legend Harris got it instead....OUCH! That's gotta hurt hey Darian? 1 hour ago, Fatty Liver said: Noticed Durant has gone back to milking his Rider roots, guesting on The Sports Cage semi-regularly, guess he's found that one place in the wide wide world that will pay him some attention. Coincidentally, Harris has also gone to the one place they will polish the knob unconditionally. Ego-maniacs and narcissists just love the Rider fan base. Not suggesting that DD or AH are either of those, but I'm not saying they aren't either. Edited January 20 by GCn20

His fit for our system is exceptional as well. Blue chip prospect for sure. Also a really big factor is hes a huge teams cover guy. Looks like a more athletic version of Cole/ayers. Much leaner than Ayers and a bit leaner than Cole, but same kind of tool set. 41 minutes ago, Booch said: which is extremely stupid...especialy with Free agency right away...and needing to have something installed scheme/playbook wise by may....like wtf I bet it’s gonna be Mike miller. bb1, rebusrankin, Tracker and 1 other 3 1
