Chungh, Couture, Richardson, Sayles, Lawler, Janarion are all names off the top of my head.

Ford looks like he’s on his way out. Houston is another one, although I’m glad we didn’t keep him and I think that was one the team was OK with.

Let me flip the question: what impactful player in their prime who isn’t from MB or ND have we kept in the past 2-3 years? Schoen is really the only one that comes to mind off the top of my head and we locked him up for one year after he strongly considered the market and quite possibly may walk this time around.

You're panicking a bit here haha.

There's not many guys they've wanted at a reasonable number who haven't re-signed since about 2017.

Only real big loss was Desjarlais.

Janarion was a bit of a tougher one coming off a pretty terrible season and a couple years in a row with significant injury.  I can understand why they moved on.  I can't understand what the **** they did in the 2024 off-season/training camp/season to try to replace him.

Generally haven't had a big problem with choices they've made to not pay guys.  Personnel side aside from DB's has been brutal going on 3 years.  And unfortunately I think we lost the most competent guy we had over there in Goveia.  But nice that they've added onto McManus because I think he's basically useless.

How many games has Lawler played the last 2 years. If your argument is that Schoen isn't worth it because of reliability then the argument has to be the same for Lawler. Now, I agree that if we can only have one then Lawler should be our pick but I disagree with your premise as to why. Lawler is just a better big play receiver, while Schoen is the more consistently productive one. Six of one, half a dozen of the other, but my personal bias is towards the big play guy. Doesn't make it the right pick but I can choose my favorite, just as you have.

Schoen takes a licking on the field more than most receivers. That's why he misses time on the field & as he gets older, he'll miss more. Just like Greg Ellingson.  Lawler screwed up & missed 9 games but that wasn't due to an injury. It was a suspension. He did break his arm last season but other than that he's been more durable.

Yeah touché on that one. The rest of the ones in the post above, not many of those guys in their prime which is what my point was to begin with.

Which ones weren't in their prime?

I'm drawing a blank on Richardson. Only Richardson in recent memory of the Bombers I can think of is Michael. Do I not remember someone impactful

Stevie "Stove" Richardson.

maybe Wilson is filling Ayers' role as the rotational DI/Special teams Ace if Ayers walks for more money.

...or Jonathan Jones is our new MLB

Ayers is still under contract with the Bombers.

It's Brian Cole (along with Biggie) that it looks like won't be back.

As well, Bryce Notree and Lucky Ogbevoen were released at the end of the season.

Both Ayer’s and Cole have gotten nfl work outs. I think it’s very likely both are back here. Cole is being groomed at S.

I think kyrie is getting a tc shot. I don’t think he’s taking the job of one of these young guys. Kyrie is great on teams, and can bring strong vet leadership to the camp completion. I don’t think he’s taking will be with us all year, unless he’s on the pr/ast coaching on the field, or if he some how returns to peak form and stays healthy.

I’d love to see Jonathon jones and ayers as the starting lbers.
This is such a great pick up.
