Not my first choice with his injury history but he'd be interesting as a 3rd QB/Mentor.

I don’t think he’s injury prone, far less than zach. He just had one freak injury and one dirty shot.

I do think a lot of the value in him is as a guy to help groom the young guys and as a future coach. But I also think a healthy masoli off the bench gives us an excellent chance to win if zach goes down.

I’m guessing we’ll roll with what we have at qb.

Strev is a FA and hasn’t been resigned. If he doesn’t come back I think we add another guy.

Arbuckle, Shiltz, Cameron Duke...any could be a better option than Masoli or sticking with Dolegala.

Duke and arbuckle aren’t worth a hill of beans. Masoli gives us way more. Though duke is atleast maybe worth developing. Dole doesn’t offer us more than much of any one though.

If he not healthy...whoever we sign or bring in not named Lawler will give us a weak group...ZC doesn't flourish in a weak group

Zac doesn't flourish under an average oline either, if we can't sign Lawler at a reasonable amount that's where we need to upgrade.

Last year the coaches didn't seem to have any confidence in the olines ability to run against a good dline ie the argos, and Zac was playing nervous because neither did he.

Ill also pose the question of who would have more impact on winning Ceresna or Lawler .?

DL and OL. That’s where the potential free agent signing or interest needs to be. There isn’t much out there OL wise tho. Going 3 Americans on the Oline prob might not be a bad idea.

There’s a ton out there OL wise, it’s probably the deepest position in FA. Lots of directions you can go, too. Patch up a spot for a year? Sure, sign a guy like Foucault or Gagnon or Boyko. Hope for a bounce back from a player who still has some prime years left? Go for McEwen or Beard if the price is right. Have an idea that you can take a younger guy and mold him into what you want? Go after McKellar, Richards or Hogan-Saindon.

there are a ton of options at OL

QB Bryan Scott is also available, I don't know if they determined he was inadequate last year when he bounced back and forth between the Argos and Bombers late in the season.

Seemed like he didn’t make the grade. Could probably do worse than bringing him back but at that point I’d just go with a rookie who has upside.

I'm not sure that any of those options are obviously better than Dolegala.

You wouldn't rather Cameron Dukes?

Hoping we retain Scott.

Seriously? Isn’t this like saying I know you are but what am i? They are rubber and we are glue. Jesus some of you need a mental health break.

That comment wasn't aimed at you in particular, However, since you brought it up... You're opinionated more than a lot of people here.  I know that I am as well. However, I don't have any particular grievance with you nor do I disagree a lot with what you say. I probably agree with you 75% of the time, maybe more. There are 3 camps here. The ones that support Osh & the ones that don't. Then there are the ones who seem neutral. We're in opposite camps, that's all.

BTW, I don't want Osh fired. My complaint is the way he handles personnel mostly.

Yup...entry level American dozer at guard......150k to adrress DL/DE...Pooch Schmeck and Thomas at TC and tag an additional 240k or so to the kitty

And turf Kolankowski as well as Alexander. Presto! You have some spare money.

We need to avoid shiny baubles and make sure our OL and DL return to being dominant again. Everything else will sort itself out if we do that.

Jake Ceresna would be a great fit for our 3-4 defence

Lofton is a big meh to me.

He was alright for most part...continuity on line is good and he likely a transitional guy

Our oline issue is smack dab in the middle...correct that...rest falls in line

I’m very okay with Lofton, I like the continuity with the edges. Hardrick was meh and a repurposed castoff until he wasn’t too.

Yeah...it's a cost effective move...right side hits ground running...

Yep Loften struggled early on but by the end of the season I thought he was pretty excellent. Would have been a big hole to fill.

I like McKellar.  I think he still has a lot of upside.

Otherwise that's just a pile of guys.  Some way over the hill, and we probably already have more than enough of that on OL, some who have never been good CFL players.

Personally I would have planned on going 3 Americans on the OL both for ease of competition for spots, running the OL a bit cheaper and allowing depth.  I'd feel a lot better about 3 Americans then 4-5 Canadians filling out the other 3 spots.

We'll have to see what's to come but we've kind of ****** ourselves for Canadian receiver/RB depth.
