Neither would want to be limited to a set snap count, try Kyrie or BA.

Wilson could definitely be that guy.

Very good player when healthy = better chance of staying healthy when play is reduced

so whats available to shore things up...Walters said they gonna be spenders.......

Currently based on how we ended 2024....we are weaker right now at Receiver....Oline ....dline.....and in those 3 positions have zero depth...3 very important spots as well...LB is better tho...especially if Ayers is back...DB i'd say is a wash....we have a returner now who can add value on offence...same lousy punter...we got work to do for sure

lotta guys who could have helped here have already agreed to deals elsewhere....the amount and quality of impact free agents who are gonna be available has shrank considerably...who do you see left that can step right in and be a dominat player...and an upgrade?

I'm not sure. I just think it's a bit early to write off the 2025 roster lol

not writing it off per say...but doesn't appear like we have any kind of plan currently....and we missed out already on a lot of guys who could have helped here

And when I look at what Kyle Walters has done so far I actually do see a plan. Got a vet at MLB, DE, signed a receiver, kick returner/rb.... I mean those were needs he addressed. There's still a whole offseason left to make further tweaks. I know it's tough watching other teams make a huge splash... but those were the teams that had the most holes. How would you like to be the argos watching their whole DL take off?

on offence..wr ..lawler hasnt been signed yet, but hollins hatcher lewis all avail. I also like Kiondre smith (a nat but very good)

then theres Mcewan, Couture, Cage Mckellar on oline

on defence Stubblefield, Amos, Webb, even Adeleke  and Cox could help

I think that Walters meticulously plans each offseason as well as he can. There are so many variables, moving parts, and things beyond his control that to not have multiple plans for the offseason would guarantee he would have lost his job in very short order. Are you suggesting that he take a fly by the seat of his pants approach?

this does feel like the off-season where Booch has jumped the shark a bit though lol

Jake Thomas broke his brain last season.

I suggest that if there is an opportunity to bring in an impact player or 2....you do it....if that means moving on from a lesser albeit here for several yrs here guy or 2...so be it.

Also don't go into any off-season/FA pigeon holing yourself with the idea that you only have so much in this area to spend...and that area...or we are going to go Canadian here...import there, but try obtain the best players within reason at any given position regardless of Nationality or position, and actually use your TC to sort it all out...hardly an unreasonable thing, and one many a successful organization does

like Fonzie?? lol...Not sure what that analogy means tho...But at times how we go about things is puzzling and a bit limiting...regardless if people wanna say "ya but" 5 straight appearances.....how bout "Yeah but we epically threw 3 straight wins away" what o we NEED to do to change that, and what was the reasons for it.....not just shashay around business as usual...with not a worry in the world

Lapo or Jackson, gotta be.

Jackson wouldn't have been a no surprise...would have ben a nice surprise and a nice infusion of some new blood/ideas

The idiom "jumping the shark" or to "jump the shark" means that a creative work or entity has evolved and reached a point in which it has exhausted its core intent and is introducing new ideas that are discordant with or an extreme exaggeration (caricature) of its original theme or purpose. The phrase was coined in 1985 by radio personality Jon Hein in response to a 1977 episode from the fifth season of the American sitcom Happy Days, in which the character of Fonzie (Henry Winkler) jumps over a live shark while on water-skis.

Surely, at some point, we will sign some serious competition for Sheahan at punter. I know there's more to it than simple distance and hang time but it seemed like we always struggled to gain field position last year and our punter had the worst average punting distance in the CFL, by a considerable margin. The best punter - Jake Julien, had a an average of almost 10 yards better per punt than our guy.

Got a link?  Likely means it's an internal hire, surprise, surprise, that would be a bad surprise.

You can argue about how you think a GM carves up his SMS pie, and I will listen to what that GM has actually explained as to how he does it. If you actually listened to Walters speak he explains very fully why we do so, and why we are not the first out of the gate on high price FAs unless we are specifically targeting them. Last year we signed Lawler/Schoen/BO but only after we had whiffed on other attempts. Walters pivots only when it is clear that salary in one area allows him to do so. It's a smart strategy, that makes sure we are not just throwing cash into the wind like the Riders do. He won't weaken one area of his club to augment another. They all have a set range so that we can have balance throughout.

Majority of bomber fans friends of mine don’t care who the OC is.  If I’m being honest I think the only ppl who really care who the OC is post on here. The vocal minority of fans. I care but not that much even. Like I have no say so it’s like ok cool with lapo or Jackson or whoever. I actually thought our o was pretty predictable last season so excited for some new ideas.

Walters/bombers are at a big disadvantage with the anchor that is Collaros contract. The majority of teams have at least 175k extra to compete for free agents. If more than one team is competing for a free agent ie Stubblefield we will not get them.

Have to wonder if the Lawler situation is handcuffing him as well

I’ll bet Hamilton was willing to pay more or give STUBBLEFIELD an extra year. 3 year deal there. That’s likely what it comes down to. 3 years. More $$$.
