I don't think he’s going to sit on his hands this offseason given some of the issues that have come up. He isn't a knee jerk type but 2 grey cups with similar problems and the poor start to the year and general offensive inconsistency I suspect he does ask for explanations. JohnnyAbonny and Noeller 2

I am absolutely on this site to talk football about our favourite team, both the good and bad. What I take exception with is the sheer amount of comments and hate one player on an excellent defense generates. Whose fault is that? Mine? Booch? Johnny Abonny? Mike? Anyone else??? As I said, it is what it is. Just now, 17to85 said: Oh I dunno, walters is patient but not oblivious. I'd love it if Walters says enough is enough with some players here & made him release them. JohnnyAbonny 1
17to85 Posted Wednesday at 09:37 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 09:37 PM I think walters did start that process last season. He's talked in the past about how you can't do it all at once but how there needs to be that turnover. I think after 2022 and they brought nearly everyone back he wasn't even totally convinced on that course but did it anyway. Noeller 1

If/when they move on from Jake, someone else becomes the whipping boy.
17to85 Posted Wednesday at 09:47 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 09:47 PM Jake Thomas wouldn't take the heat he does if they didn't deploy him like he was 2001 era Doug brown. JohnnyAbonny, Goalie, BigBlueFanatic and 3 others 2 4
rebusrankin Posted Wednesday at 09:59 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 09:59 PM If Jake was a rotational DT for 15 snaps, I'd say little. When he starts and plays reps like he is Prime Doug Brown, I say lots. Goalie, BigBlueFanatic, Piggy 1 and 2 others 5

Mark H. Posted Wednesday at 10:24 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 10:24 PM With the exception of a couple of games where Randolph was starting at guard, they were starting 6 Canadians on Offense (3 OL, 2 Rec, 1 RB) Ford in the secondary, Kramdi at LB That's 8 Canadians without even using the nationalized American rule Thomas and Schmeckel could easily have been used as rotational pieces only, with an American being Lawson's primary replacement I'd never claim to be an expert, but that approach would sure make sense to me Noeller, bigg jay, JohnnyAbonny and 4 others 1 6

Good point. And for the record, I was quite vocal about a perceived misuse of the DL. They were absolutely married to a Nat DT for some reason, so that was never going to change whether it was Jake or Cam. 1 minute ago, Mark H. said: With the exception of a couple of games where Randolph was starting at guard, they were starting 6 Canadians on Offense (3 OL, 2 Rec, 1 RB) Ford in the secondary, Kramdi at LB That's 8 Canadians without even using the nationalized American rule Thomas and Schmeckel could easily have been used as rotational pieces only, with an American being Lawson's primary replacement I'd never claim to be an expert, but that approach would sure make sense to me 100%... And even those of us who are taking a "let's all chill..." Approach right now, were very vocal about this weird use of Nats during the season.... Bigblue204 and Mark H. 1 1

He’s not on a hot seat tho. 15 people (I’m being generous) on the internet repeating things does not equate to a dude who has taken his team to the cup 5 straight years being on a hot seat or seat of any kind really except the one he parks his ass on at home or the office or car of wherever else sitting is involved. 5 straight cups. I’d like some answers for sure but he’s not on a hot seat. 25 he might be but right now he’s not. 2025 could be a huge celebration or huge disaster MOBomberFan, Bigblue204, Captain Blue and 1 other 2 2

People forget about the wins because it's convenient. Absolutely there are questions about why we can't finish the past few years and The Trinity will dive into that as a unit, for sure. I look forward to seeing what they come up with for next summer! CodyT 1
