A lot of it is coaching & roster management.  In other words, our HC.

Either way... some sort of change needs to happen.   It is unfortunate that Zach is making such a hefty salary as it would be nice to have enough money for a 1a and 1b.     I don't know if a Davis Alexander would want to sign for a smaller contract only for him to hold a clipboard.

I used to love CF, but his personality wore off on me quite quickly.

In his defense I suppose, Craig Dickenson would be painful to work for/with.

I was excited about mbt too. Good taste in talent bad taste in head cases when it comes to QBs lol.

I wonder had Harris played for us in the Grey Cup if the outcome would have been different.  Harris doesn't throw prayer and a wish deep throws...  he's vanilla but maybe vanilla may have been a better shot then  just chucking and praying.

Masoli would be interesting to consider in that situation too. We were hot after him a couple times.

Why are posters here giving that a thumbs up??? That's brutal if we lose Buck, Goveia & McManus.

Brutal to lose Ted and Mac. Losing buck is addition by subtraction. We’ve done an exceptional job of identifying and developing front office guys if we lose one of Ted and Danny we will be fine. Replacing two key front office pieces would be hard.
I think we could benefit from another fresh pair of eyes in the front office.
Losing ringmaiden was much harder than either Ted or Danny.  And I love both of those guys.
The more you develop and circulate guys like that around the league and football the better off you are. It allows you to attract much better talent and get them to fit into the coaching cap how ever needed.

In fajardo's defense, there are qbs who go their whole career without getting to or winning a championship. Dieter Brock being among them.

You forgot another sleeper who was hurt most of last season..... Taylor Powell. He'd be #2 behind Davis Alexander on my "Get List" if I was Kyle Walters.

it’s true. And he earned it too. He’s not a carry along he played great.

Brandon, I somehow missed your quote about some kind of change is needed.  My response?? Some sort of change? SMH. What kind of change? Nothing will change until Mike takes it upon himself & leaves. He's the winningest coach in Bomber history. Do you really think he'll suddenly look inward & say that he blew it & needs to change or do things differently? That will never happen. What we see is what we'll get.

Wish we could get 2019 Streveler back

Tommy, please step into a time machine & come back as the 1984 version of yourself.

A worse, less experienced version of him...?

That might not be all good. In 2019 Streveler threw himself into the line like he had a spare body  and, probably because of LaPolice, did not evolve his game despite seeming to have all the requisite tools except game experience. With luck, his time in NFL provided him with some good coaching and we just might get a new and improved Streveler back.

Goveia is a major loss, and a guy who would be a quality GM.

Think McManus moving on would be good for us in terms of getting some new eyes in on the personnel side, especially in the US, but don't think he has a hope in hell of landing a GM job.  He's like the Van Wilder of the CFL.

McManus rarely ever comes North of the border and that is by choice. Unless a team wants a GM conducting business from Florida, or McManus suddenly gets an affinity for being here full time I can't see him moving on. Goveia, otoh, is a much better choice and would be a huge loss to Walters team.

I think Hamilton fans want McManus. No way I'd let that team take both. **** them. We're not here to build Hamilton up. Wade Miller better put his foot down.

Both men are on expiring contracts IIRC. Not much we can do really. However, I'm not sure that McManus/Goveia are interested in moving and being 2nd fiddle to the other one. We would retain one rather easily I would think.

The executive office in Hamilton is already crowded, hard to say how much say the GM has with Scott Mitchell CEO and Orlando President, plus 2 other assistant GM's already on staff.

Crowded front office and they still need to bring in Wally to help advise who they should hire as GM.

Looks like the Edmonton Eskimo Alumni is now running the team just like the Stampeder Alumni is doing the same in Calgary. No idea why both teams think it's fine to load up with former players in administrative, management & coaching positions. They know only one style.... "Once an Eskimo /Stampeder, always an. Eskimo/Stampeder", (feel free to interchange team names freely). It reminds me of hillbilly families in Arkansas, West Virginia, Kentucky & Tennessee. All that inbreeding can't be good. They need coaches & management from other teams to give them a different POV. But both teams only want to give jobs to their buddies at the exclusion of all else. To me, nothing will change until they figure out that this can't work. Losing cultures for both will remain the same.

Picture of the kind of inbreeding the ...
