Once again the Canadian justice system lets everyone down.   At least give the guy a full year of jail so he can at least get the beats from fellow inmates more then a few times...

Surely he’s credited with time served already. I remember hearing about this several years ago. Took a while to reach the verdict. I don’t agree with him only getting 3 months but this prob took 3 years. Personally I think he should have his weiner surgically removed.

I’d suggest listening to the guys talk about him. I’ve seen guys like that who are just kinda loud and carry on. They tend to be laughed off. If that was the case he would’ve been FO’d for sure. 
 Kongbo was a similar type.

I agree. FIFO is well entrenched and isn't slipping one iota. Young guys will need to step up, and they will as they become the veterans. It isn't a problem. We have problems...don't get me wrong...but FIFO declining isn't one of them.

Guys like zach go specifically into detail about how he is in the locker room. 
 

I’m talking about the fifo culture. Sure they aren’t gonna keep around toxic head cases. Few contenders do. 
 The culture of fifo doesn’t seem remotely the same any more. And you don’t hear or see any thing from the young guys out side of bo stepping up in that area. And even then bo has been around a good while. 
 

Kongbo came in and was an immediate tone setter and maintained a high level of accountability. It’s why B.C. didn’t like him. They were allergic to that accountable style of culture. 
 

We had a culture that perpetuated winning. Now we have a culture we win with. Same as Hamilton had in 19/21.

Agreed. Usually that kind of partial release program is for people with jobs they can keep with the conviction. Idk how it works with Normand. He can’t go back to work in education.

He was charged in August 2022 and found guilty in April 2024 so just over 2 years which seems about right for our system.  He had been out on bail so credit for time served doesn't apply.

All this means that his having any sort of professional career is gone and he will probably have to report to police any change of address. He is not scot-free by any means. FYI: virtually all offenders were victimized as children, which does not give them any licence, And not all victimized children become abusers.

Article says no sex offender list but yes he'll have conditions to abide by. Still seems to be an extremely lenient sentence.

"Christophe Normand will, however, be able to serve his three-month prison sentence intermittently, i.e. during weekend.

He will then be subject to three years of probation, with several conditions to be met, including two years of monitoring for any sexual issues. His name will not be entered in the Sex Offender Registry."

Is he rotting in a jail cell with other inmates who do not take kindly to child predators?  The answer is no... so he is off scott free.     

It is only my opinion, what he did is more close to the severity of murdering as compared to someone selling drugs or tax evasion.

I might not mind if they cut the pregame show and panel. Just had the sideline and color/pbp do a mini panel and mini post/pre game.

What could this mean for the CFL revenue & growth wise if Amazon Prime did buy into TSN & wanted to stream a game a week? Is this the Holy Grail we've all been waiting for? Or will it be like single game betting, A whole lot of promises turned into a whole lot of nothing.

It all depends on how much Prime is willing to pay. I doubt that it would be huge revenue streams for them or the CFL. Much needed exposure though.

Live sporting events are what streaming giants crave right now. WWE not exactly a sport, sort of but live weekly entertainment signed 10 years 5 billion with Netflix. I’d imagine cfl might be something one of them would have interest in.

WWE has global appeal.... CFL has an extremely small niche audience that would only appeal to a small country.   Apples and oranges comparison.    

Pickleball probably is more desireable for a streaming service then the CFL.
