Don't think he replaced Hubert, but gives us some versatile depth. Realistically he looks like an end-of-the-NI roster guy. But a Canadian who can basically play the same role and impact as the Seal is nice to have.

2021, spent 3 seasons with the Als, most of last season on the 6 game.

The product of growing up in a chaotic home is that the person believes:

I am not good enough

The world is a dangerous place

It will never get any better than this.

Yeah, takes a lot to break that cycle. And even when you're out, it's gravity still hits you at random times.

Sort of a random thought but who are the Elks receivers even going to be this year?

Geno, Mitchell, Tevin Jones all out.

They signed Kaion Julien-Grant and someone named Tyson Middlemost

Ford going to do it all by himself?

KJG & Gittens as the top 2 receivers with Odoms-Dukes chipping in and then hoping they can uncover someone?  Definitely not their strongest position at the moment.

A bit on the light side for a defensive lineman, so he better be quick.

But treatable.

To be honest, I feel like our FA signings are all Clearance sale because the players are either "almost empty tank" or "a bit damaged"

180....a bunch of guys who have had success in this league some even showed flashes of excellence but fell out of Favour for one reason or another, be it injury, situational fit or other, that have a desire to prove themselves.....Not all our FA signings will but I feel a few will

Taking the 30,000ft view I don't hate the look of our roster, while less upper ceiling talent, I feel as if we really brought the floor up

I am moderately concerned with our o-line/ratio and our d-line as of today....I would have liked to see a stud DL and a solid Cdn. to replace Dobson....

I am deep down hopeful a stud NFL cut comes available similar to the Biggie situation years ago and we have the $$ to sign them like we did with Biggie

They need rotation for Vaughters, shouldn't expect him to play the whole game like Willy and Jake do.

A stud NFL cut will go on the PR of some NFL team or sign with the UFL. With the falling Canadian dollar, tariffs, Canadians booing the Star Spangled Banner at NHL & NBA games, it's going to be even tougher to get these "studs" to come up here.

Makes me wonder how he was able to pack on those 80 pounds and then drop them.

It baffles me how players sign in free agency with gms like Hervey, they have to know that he'll drop them like a hot potato if he's at all unhappy with a player. But I guess their egos say it wouldn't happen to me.

I think we can officially say the circus is back in Edmonton - Sideshow Ed is such a clown.

True but 1800 yards in two seasons isn’t all pro numbers, there’s a way to communicate things for sure but Lewis isn’t as good as he thinks he is.

Yep. Wasn't really talking about Lewis as much as Hervey though.  Hervey not wanting to pay $300k for a receiver is fine but airing that out publicly only to see the receiver in question sign with another team for closer to $200k, he just looks clueless.

Maybe if he had actually talked to Lewis, he would have realized $300k wasn't on the table and he could have kept Lewis at a reasonable price. Instead they'll role with one or two legit receivers, a couple retreads and hope they uncover a stud.
