I can't imagine who would watch all of that each week. Or even once. Maybe if they made it a clip show of the best on field hot mic moments and included it in a highlight of the week package. You could even package it in a high energy segment like the old ESPN NFL "You been jacked up!"

An age ranking of posters would be hilarious. My money says Zach Schnitzer is the youngest, he knows how podcasts work. Gotta be right? 

Zach Shnitzer has a podcast? What's a podcast? JK....really like his work on there and I still hold a grudge against Bauming for screwing Harris out of MOP. I will begrudgingly admit that he and Zach are very enjoyable to watch talking Bombers. I see Booch knows how to send comments to them on it, I don't so he must be a babyface too.

I always found that Laura Diakun did a good job hosting the panel whenever she needed to fill in for Kate.  I think she would be a good replacement as long as she keeps doing what she's been doing and not try to change to match what Kate has been doing.

Kate is awful, actually antagonizes her own panel for some odd reason. She thinks she is the star of the panel and gets upset at them if she perceives they are upstaging her. Just weird really.

Yep, just the worst kind of schtick. She's like a bland stephen a smith with out any hot takes.

It's not that Kate thinks this or that.... It's just a gimmick that the producers are making her do. It's an act and they seem to think it's entertaining.

I truly think she think's it's the Kate Beirness Hour.....goes way over board...plus I don't think she really has a clue about football...should stick her back to basketball or wherever they pulled her from...Bring back that Brody Lawson??...was that her name ...or let Laura do it full-time....time for change as it's been the same now for long enough

for sure they want her to play a role...host/moderator.....but she has made it way over the top and at times things to think people tune in to see her ridiculous tripe

Agree. I've only watched it a few times. It just isn't interesting. Just a lot of squawking especially from the linebackers & especially the mouthy dbs.

Yeah, Laura Diakin does a great job, Calm, professional & shows a basic knowledge of the game enough that she can direct conversations to the panelists for insighful answers. She doesn't go off half cocked like Kate does. She should replace Bierness as permanent host.

You'd also think that the panel would move around & host one game from each CFL city. The biggest regular season CFL game is the Banjo Bowl & TSN has never been here once hosting it. Instead, they go to Hamilton for LD as well as an additional three or 4 times a year. They sit in the end zone of that dinky little Texas high school football stadium they have there. What's the over/under for the panel heading out to BC Place this season for another game with Kate yelling, "ROAD TRIP!!!"

I heard its booked already. Everybody has loaded up on good snacks even except for Milt who is going with carrot sticks and doing pushups when the camera is not on them.

I can't stress enough... The "over the top" thing Kate is doing... It's not her... It's the producers. They're telling her to lean into that because they think it works. I'm 99% sure if you met her IRL, she'd be super reserved and chill (most media people have to be so amped up to be on air, that when you're off air, you come WAY down, to the point of almost depressed). So all I'm saying is it's highly unlikely she's making this choice. It's TSN telling her to do it.

That does seem to be the case, honestly it doesn’t matter to me though. (I know she’s not like that with the raptors stuff she’s done, be it a small sample size)

Idk if they can separate her from the gimmick. The bad taste is strong. Production/ direction needs change, and much of the tv talent needs to be replaced. Bo is better than any of the ex players in the panel and the booth. Lapo is excellent but under utilized. Ford should probably be In the limited role lapo usually has. Hes just not a natural speaker and hasn’t improved a lot.

She's much better talking about basketball for example. Of course, they let her act like a normal person and not a cartoon.

Trust me, I agree with ya fellas... Not a fan. And definitely enjoy Diakun more... She's more straight forward. Doesn't try to be overly entertaining.

I think it more than that...she trying to become something....not sure what it is.....but I will agree on one point...Her real life voice/inflrctions is totally different than on the panel, and maybe if she just tried her shtick being halfassed normal it may be less puke inducing...and if producer's are pushing that....then time to replace them too

I feel like the biggest sports media types succeed with a persona that is a very exaggerated version of themselves. Tony Kornheiser is a great example of this, and Michael Wilbon is as well. I think many of the newer generation of sports media types try to emulate them to a certain degree. Chris Berman and Stuart Scott also had larger-than-life on-screen personalities. Stephen A Smith has been entirely consumed by the persona (and ego) he created. 

It feels like she/they are trying to recreate this, but with zero success.

I never watch more of the pre-game or post-game than I have to anymore. And I often mute the audio to listen to CJOB. I would rather listen to unsynced sound and awful cjob commercials, or nothing at all. I didn't mind the preseason games that were televised with no audio and stadium noise only. 

 

How can the league grow when die-hard fans (I know I'm not alone here or across the league) can't stand to listen to the presentation on TV? My wife isn't a die-hard fan, and she can't stand the panel or the booth most of the time either.

I can't believe either that it's Kate Bierness producers pushing this or Laura Diakin would do the same things. She is totally different than Bierness. If the producers wanted comedy then Diakin would be the same type of host. They've had Rod Smith & others host the panel as well & it's not stupid the way Bierness is.

My wife hates Bierness as well. She doesn't mind the panel but thinks Bierness is awful. My wife is only a fan because I am. She didn't watch the game at all before she met me in 1985. Barely knew what the CFL was. So, she's one of the fans the league should be trying to catch. Having a host trying to be "one of the boys" with a gravelly voice won't do it. Bierness tries waaaaay too frigging hard.
