Without Collaros, we don't even make it to the first GC that we won.

Not even just the production either. That darvin adams play in his regular season game completely changed expectations and attitude. We went from a great team with qb health issues to team that believed they could win any kind of game, and really did.
That is one of the most pivotal plays in team history. We went from a semi final team to a back to back winner on that play.

they aren’t getting 3s any more. They aren’t getting 275 any more either. They will be a bit a head of dl, but not much.

Y'all are nuts... the thing they turned the switch in 2019 was getting the secondary sorted out. Alexander to safety,  Taylor coming in, guys like Jones and Easton solidifying spots. That 2019 playoff edition defense was a nightmare for teams, just ask Dane Evans.

Okay I get it. We're all nuts. Sheesh.

I think it's abundantly clear after the past few years that Zach collaros isn't the reason the drought ended.

Thank Andrew Harris, thank the defense.

Strev had a big hand in the 2019 Cup too which is forgotten by many

sure. His full body of work will show you that he comes up short in almost every big game he's ever played in (in the CFL).

That's a solid amount. But with him and Rose on the DL they'll be very good.

Oh my goodness, I'm finding myself defending KG.

To get yourself/the team to the big game, you/team gotta win games unless your name is Arbuckle. So yes when it ultimately mattered (i.e., winning the championship game, he faltered sans broken arm but no he did fairly well over his career helping his team win games. For most things in life, nuances are in play when observing/judging something.

They both hurt but for me the Arbuckle one, maaaaaaan, and the fact losing to the Argos, maaaaaan.

The Faj loss hurt more. We gave up a late TD there. That was the difference. That hurts more than seeing your injured QB throw interceptions and 40 yard passes while not being able to really even grip the ball properly.
The T Dot game was over after Zach got hurt. Then returned and promptly made it obvious it was over. The Faj beat us with like seconds??? To go. That hurt.

I'm not saying he didn't do "fairly well". I'm saying he was a solid qb who for whatever reason could never get over the hump. In the one GC game he played in, he scored zero touchdowns. Mitchell threw the lone TD for stamps that game. He was benched the next playoff game he played in after posting a league best 14-4 record.

How is that not the definition of coming up short in almost every big game?

Not anymore, Ed Hervey goes on for over 6 minutes explaining why he will not pay Eugene Lewis $300,000 plus.

Other than Gittens Jr. and Tevin Jones, the Elks don't have a great stockpile of experienced receivers, fair to assume they will be going after a few in FA.

For sure when I rationally think about you’re right with your points but the Argos with their back up qb gross.

I think we’re saying the same things but in different ways. :)

Yet the salary cap goes up in ridiculously small increments ever year, Never enough to handle the free agency surge of money that irresponsible GM's hand out to players. The cap needs to be reopened under the CBA & raised substantially. Looks like Ryan Ringmaiden is this year's Chris Jones.

Ed Hervey didn't go over 6 minutes saying he won't pay Lewis over $325,000. It was Justin Dunk who just wouldn't leave it alone & Hervey just kept on talking. If I was Elks President Chris Morris & HC Mark Killam, I'd not be happy by publicly saying without saying it that Lewis ain't coming back unless the receiver's expectations for a new contract change. Saying he'd prefet for the market to establish Gino's worth & therefore having to not insult the veteran receiver by giving him an offer about a hundred grand less makes no sense seeing as he just said that in the video . Effectively insulting Lewis by telling him he won't pay. Hervey took the bait. Hook, line & sinker. If that was Kyle Walters being interviewed,  that conversation wouldn't have lasted more than a minute before he shut it down.

EDIT (didn't see you'd given Kelly his due before I'd commented. Mea Culpa)

And Kelly. 3 in a row.

And as for the Glenn/MBT debate, for me it isn't close. I'd never want Glenn. He is the average'est QB we've ever witnessed. Game manager? Sure. But if he is behind in the game that he was managing, can he strap his team on his back and will his team to a victory? Nope. MBT could though.

Good for Lewis taking the high road yesterday:

That's typical Hervey though.  It was a s**t show the last time he was GM there and he had no control over himself when speaking publicly and it would seem nothing has changed.

I may be missing something obvious in the schedule that is bad for the Argos, but I can't see it. This looks very favorable for us.

Been a long time since getting the season's schedule didn't spike my blood pressure.

I thought you knowing deep down that your team really does suck no matter records, trophies etc would be a constant challenge with your blood pressure.

Love you.

I've looked at it enough now that even with my level of paranoia and persecution complex, I think we got the Best Schedule Ever.

I don't know which CFL official got the sneaky brown envelope from MLSE and I don't care.

Now we just need to rebuild/reload/re-sign and get ready to roll.

Sorry about the Bombers getting the **** end of the stick schedule-wise. Really am.

Worry not. It will take most of a bye week for Jake Fatboi to get out to the line of scrimmage, so we need the extra time for him or he will be too winded to be effective.

Ba opened the door. But Strev wasn’t leading us to winning regular season games. How do you think he’d a won that close west final and win the gc?
We could’ve done it with out ba at S. Our dl was tearing teams up.

Same one as usual 😝

I never expect good from our schedule makers league wide. I feel like they piped us, and did overall similar to last year for us and league wide. Snafu
