iHeart Posted December 1 Report Posted December 1 And what a long one it was...Ehlers isn't playing 3:30 start time captaincanuck12 1
Goalie Posted December 1 Report Posted December 1 (edited) 8 1 shots on goal Dallas. 1 0 Winnipeg. The Captain made it happen. Edited December 1 by Goalie captaincanuck12 1
captaincanuck12 Posted December 1 Report Posted December 1 Jets pk didn't allow a shot on last Dal pp.
Noeller Posted December 1 Report Posted December 1 How many games have to go by where the jets are consistently being run out of the rink from the opening faceoff? Every game, the talking heads on social media say the same thing: "sluggish/sleepy start for the Jets as they get outshot ______ by ________"

Every game, the talking heads on social media say the same thing: "sluggish/sleepy start for the Jets as they get outshot ______ by ________" Which goes back to my original curiosity. When I read that a player (s) remarks after a loss the team wasn’t ‘ready’ to play, what does that exactly mean? And I’m not talking about missing players due to injury or travel or back to back games which are all influencing factors obviously but doesn’t paint the whole picture imho. And don’t worry some of you lurkers out there, I don’t demand to know the answers, yes this is an in-house discussion with the team that stays in the locker room but I’m a curious guy. Noeller 1
Goalie Posted December 1 Report Posted December 1 (edited) I’ve always thought it to be like a job. Some days you raring to go. Other days life gets in the way. Perhaps it’s similar with these guys but they get paid way more. 6 games in 10 days is pretty wild also. Curious also. That’s my way of looking at it. They are humans except for Helle. He’s a machine. Edited December 1 by Goalie
Goalie Posted December 1 Report Posted December 1 To be fair also it’s a close game here today. Pretty even. Dallas came out hot in their building. Jets weathered the storm a bit. 8 1. But 12 6 jets since.
Noeller Posted December 1 Report Posted December 1 I don't buy the "long road trip" thing b cause they've been like this since the beginning of it. Something happened when they went down to Miami and Tampa and they haven't been the same since...
captaincanuck12 Posted December 1 Report Posted December 1 Why the hell do they keep trotting out Stanley. He's taken three penalties. He's so slow. Time to end the experiment. @Noeller I agree something has changed but these guys are also playing an insane amount of games in very little time. It's just plain old fatigue. Reffing is somewhat suspect. How the hell did they not call the interference on perfs?
Goalie Posted December 1 Report Posted December 1 (edited) Sawyer went off on the refs just like Arniel. He’s not wrong. Jets Pk on fire and Stan is a part of that. Yup slow and dumb penalties but can pk and size against a big Dallas team. Thought heinola looked fine in his 2 games. Cogs looked good in his. Stan has had chances and hasn’t looked as good. Helle is a god tho. Jets showing heart Edited December 1 by Goalie

I don't buy it. Something has changed.
iHeart Posted December 1 Author Report Posted December 1 no change in scoring after 2.....man this game is going quickly

I don't buy it. Something has changed. Nah. Reality happened. Jets gonna lose a few games also. They are on pace tho for 62 wins still. So they gonna have 20 or so losses. Some of these teams this trip are also very good. They do look less dominant tho but part of that appears to be they are taking lots of penalties. Stanley is good for 2 a game. Samberg is also a huge loss. He’s a top 4 D man on this team and he’s the ying to pionks yang. Edited December 1 by Goalie

captaincanuck12 Posted December 1 Report Posted December 1 What a flukey goal by Marchment. Jets chasing the game again.
captaincanuck12 Posted December 2 Report Posted December 2 And that's the game. 2-4 on the road trip. Bench Stanley. First time they lose 3 in a row.
Piggy 1 Posted December 2 Report Posted December 2 Just now, Noeller said: Their better what? Jets were the better team. This schedule sucks........ Goalie 1
captaincanuck12 Posted December 2 Report Posted December 2 The last six games they gone from central time to eastern time to central to Pacific to central. That alone screws you up. Anyways back home for 1 and then back on the road. bb1 and Piggy 1 2

Goalie Posted December 2 Report Posted December 2 I’m hoping they want to see Stanley not be a total liability so they can send him on his way in a trade soon. But I feel we will be keeping Stan and trading Ville. 2 1st round picks there. Stanley gets such a long leash cuz he’s tall but he’s slow as ****. From tsn The Winnipeg Jets no longer have the best points percentage in the NHL. After finishing last week with a 1-3-0 record, the Jets slid from first to third in the standings and fourth to ninth on our list.

We were winning games while Stanley cut his teeth by making mistakes. We are now losing games while Stanley cut his teeth and makes mistakes. Leash might be shorter now. Piggy 1 1
