I want to wish everyone here salutations & feliciatons. Merry Xmas & Happy New Year to one & all. Just wondering what your plans are over Christmas & New Year's? A quiet Xmas or one dilled with family & turkey? Or whatever you may have for dinner.

We're flying to Seattle on the 24th to spend Xmas with our son, his wife & our 5 month old Grand Daughter. My daughter in law's family are coming up from Portland. Their family are all over the US. So, they've all pitched in to stay at a Bed n Breakfast close to where Tyler's place is. We're all going to do a pot luck this Xmas. As they just had a turkey three weeks ago for Thanksgiving it's not on the menu, Yours truly will be cooking a beef roast & a ham as our contribution. Should be a lot of fun & a bit crazy. I used to have huge family dinners & get togethers for Easter, Xmas & birthdays. Or we'd all gather at my brother's cottage at Hillside Beach on Lake Winnipeg. Then over the years, my parents & older family members passed away. Or moved for jobs whatever.

Now, 55 years later, we live a quiet life in YYC. I have an older son & his wife here but unfortunately we don't talk anymore. So, this get together will be a throwback to another time for me & I am looking forward to it. Usually at Xmas, I get depressed thinking about the people I loved no longer here. Xmas can be a difficult time for me but by NYE, I've usually shaken it off. That week between the two helps.

Anyway, everyone have a great Xmas.

I mean it really does suck like I've been getting tired before I really want to, if I can't take the heat this might be the last NYE I stay up late for....I can't really handle it anymore...and I have plans to marathon a bunch of Air Farces and end the night with Spice World

I do plan on doing a little baking I have all these days off and time I need to use at my advantage the older I get the more I start to understand Jim Henson's battle with time
