Noeller Posted Thursday at 10:08 PM Report Posted Thursday at 10:08 PM I am very proudly married into a great Ukrainian family from up northwest of Brandon (also VERY proud of their heritage). The food and booze at each and every one of their family gatherings is epic. There's just nothing like authentic Ukrainian food. My wife is gearing up for meals to celebrate their Christmas and New Year... Piggy 1 1

Borscht is a staple, as are perogies and of course homemade sausage. Noeller and Piggy 1 2

I threw up in my mouth thinking about this. After years living in Dauphin with ACTUAL pierogies, I moved to Morden/Winkler and was at a Smitty's for lunch and ordered pierogies and sausage.... And what I received on my plate, with their glob of grossness inside what otherwise looked like a normal potato and cheddar dumpling, was NOT a pierogi. Disgusting. Mark H. 1
SpeedFlex27 Posted Friday at 02:25 AM Report Posted Friday at 02:25 AM Sour cream does me fine on perogies with fried onions. Goalie and Mark H. 2
captaincanuck12 Posted Friday at 03:23 AM Report Posted Friday at 03:23 AM Don't forget the bacon. By the way, spoiler alert... Canada lost 4-3... Czechia scores a PP goal with 30 seconds left to go. Terrible officiating in that game. And the cap dump scores!!!! And we promptly give it right back
iHeart Posted Friday at 03:29 AM Report Posted Friday at 03:29 AM ugh we shouldn't be in OT right now

Yeah, that was bad on Helle’s part. Really uncharacteristic this year, but definitely should’ve had two of those and their guy stops a breakaway on Ehlers in overtime and Helle unable to match on the two on one. That said, Nik Ehlers could’ve helped him out there… He is not a good finisher on breakaways. Piggy 1 1
