Hope that they are selling perogies and cabbage rolls at Canada Life tonight! :)

I am very proudly married into a great Ukrainian family from up northwest of Brandon (also VERY proud of their heritage). The food and booze at each and every one of their family gatherings is epic. There's just nothing like authentic Ukrainian food. My wife is gearing up for meals to celebrate their Christmas and New Year...

Many of our Hutterian meals are Ukrainian (ancestors emigrated in 1874). Borscht is a staple, as are perogies and of course homemade sausage.

Not a fan of perogies ,unless the potato or cheese ones. The sausage though...oh my.

This statement makes no sense because anything other than this isn't a pierogi, it's an abomination.

What if you use this?

You need to have some cottage cheese perogies with maple syrup - that is all.

I threw up in my mouth thinking about this.

After years living in Dauphin with ACTUAL pierogies, I moved to Morden/Winkler and was at a Smitty's for lunch and ordered pierogies and sausage.... And what I received on my plate, with their glob of grossness inside what otherwise looked like a normal potato and cheddar dumpling, was NOT a pierogi. Disgusting.

Hellesuck stank the joint out ,gave up 2 weak ones ,chasing a milestone. What you get.

Yeah, that was bad on Helle’s part. Really uncharacteristic this year, but definitely should’ve had two of those and their guy stops a breakaway on Ehlers in overtime and Helle unable to match on the two on one.

That said, Nik Ehlers could’ve helped him out there… He is not a good finisher on breakaways.

No he's not - the "shoot it right at the goalie and hope it goes in" seems to be his best move.
