Ehlers will be a game-time decision after he took pucks off his left foot and the inside of his leg on two separate plays in the third period of a 4-0 win at the Vegas Golden Knights on Thursday; the forward did not practice Friday and the Jets did not hold a morning skate. ... Utah, which also did not hold a morning skate, is expected to dress the same lineup used in a 4-2 loss to the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday.

Yup that’s why if he needs maintenance to get closer to 100% rest him as much as possible to be ready for post season play.

I hear what you’re saying, but we need to lock up 1st place, so if he’s able to play, I think we need to play him.

Imo 1st place is a nice to have not a must have. I’d rather us get all our guys as close to 100% heading into the first game of post season. Ideally having both (securing 1st place and being healthy and ready to go) would be ideal.

Scheifele and Hellebuyck appear to be the only players interested in trying in the first period. Jets go to Sin City and look completely dialled in, then go to Mormon Central and look completely distracted for the second time this year. Go figure.

Maybe I'm just frustrated with this team. I don't understand why we struggle against these lower teams. It's baffling, especially with the best goalie in the world.

I’m frustrated too. They showed no intensity through the first 35 minutes of the game, and blew a golden opportunity with Dallas losing today, which they would have known before the opening faceoff. But Hellebuyck made some huge saves on high danger chances. He was the only reason it wasn’t 6-0 after 2 periods. Jets lost in spite of his play, not because of it. Injuries are not helping either. Completely changes our power play, which did not need extra reasons to struggle.

Utah is actually very good. Fast. Young. These teams play hard against the Jets cuz the Jets are currently the measuring stick. Utah is gonna be real good. I thought they dominated but when the Jets did get chances and they got them, the Jets killer goalie made the saves. Dudes been killing Jets since Arizona. Ehlers out is gonna hurt. Nino ain’t playing up to snuff. Utah isn’t bad. They are rolling right now and have same points as basically Vancouver and Calgary. They aren’t a bottom feeder. They have 20 more points than Nashville. Utah could finish in around 90 points. That’s not a bad team at all. They will miss playoffs cuz well Winnipeg Dallas Colorado Minnesota St. Louis is in their division also. And have 6 teams make it from the central division of death wouldn’t be fair.
