Goalie Posted Sunday at 12:40 PM Report Posted Sunday at 12:40 PM (edited) Colorado is really just 1 guy MacKinnon. Shut him down and Colorado does nothing. It’s not like they dominated. Dallas missing some key players also. Saw that coming. I’m not worried about any team. Think ppl should have faith. Jets been battling adversity since game 1 of the season. Blackwood don’t worry me one bit. If I’m Colorado I’m worried about their tending. Blackwood ain’t it. Edited Sunday at 12:47 PM by Goalie
Goalie Posted Sunday at 12:46 PM Report Posted Sunday at 12:46 PM Jets go as Scheifele goes in the playoffs. You need your top guys to step up. After some early nerves and looking perhaps intimidated by the whiteout a bit, jets took over and owned the 3rd. Line 1 combined 7 points.
BomberBall. Posted Sunday at 02:49 PM Report Posted Sunday at 02:49 PM Pretty wild game. Glad the Jets were able to have a dominant 3rd and pull out the win. Not that losing that game would have been the end, but it could allow the mind to wander and have the demons of playoffs past, come creeping in. Now…. That one’s under the belt…… LFG. Noeller 1

I know I know totally different team from last year but not to rain on the parade but we did experience the gentleman’s sweep last year against the Avs so let’s take that 3rd period and apply it to the first two next game. When we dictate the game we usually win.
HardCoreBlue Posted Sunday at 03:52 PM Report Posted Sunday at 03:52 PM Perfect summation by Scott Arniel: Lifted from Darren Bauming. “That first period it was kind of a little bit wacky and we were a little bit sloppy,” Arniel said. “And then all of a sudden, second period, we started to do some things that we talked about. Got some zone time. Started to create chances and then it kind of built towards that third, and it was a real good third period.” AB BomberFan and Noeller 2
Jimmy from Lockport Posted Sunday at 07:31 PM Report Posted Sunday at 07:31 PM The 3rd period looked like the last time St. Louis was in Winnipeg...except maybe not having as much trouble putting the puck behind Bing as they did Hofer. We should get Gabe back around Game 4. That should really help the PP and give Arnie something to think about regarding where Gabe plays. I imagine if we are up 3-0, they might choose to rest him some more? Let's hope Dallas wins a game or two. rebusrankin and HardCoreBlue 2

Big difference for me - getting through the first round is a big psychological boost and helps build momentum. I think the Jets have a much better chance to get to the second round playing someone like St. Louis, just my opinion. Also, was hoping that Dallas and Colorado would beat the crap out of each other and go to seven games, hopefully with a lot of long OT games too, but we will see. The Canucks for the Sedin years were number 1 in the NHL several times and yet kept choking in the first round. In 2011 they almost blew a 3-1 series lead but were able to get by the Blackhawks in round one, and then they started rolling all the way to the finals. Getting through the first round is huge. bb1, Noeller, rebusrankin and 2 others 5

HardCoreBlue Posted Sunday at 10:59 PM Report Posted Sunday at 10:59 PM Former Detroit Red Wings head coach on the pregame show of the Leafs/Senators: Its all about the pk, the pp can dry up but you need that pk. Yup, and hoping the Jets make the necessary adjustments on their pk. Can’t keep giving up power play goals and expect to be successful. Keeping out of the box would also be helpful.

I disagree, respectfully. The Jets led the NHL from start to finish. Even when teams finally figured them out in the second half of the season we still won. We were & still are a tough team to beat. If the Jets are that fragile that we believe we need to beat an inferior team in the first round to kick things off in the playoffs then we're in big trouble. We shouldn't be afraid to play anyone. To me, the only thing that matters is making it to the actual Stanley Cup Final series.
