This could very well be the home team wins all games here. Montreal isn't going to win that series. Washington is a proven commodity and a deadly threat every playoff. The Jets seem to have the same problem year after year in the playoffs. Can't translate regular season success. They also have some guy named ovechkin who can change a series.

Goalie Posted Sunday at 07:56 PM Report Posted Sunday at 07:56 PM (edited) If Vilardi was healthy they made a mistake not playing him. I’d suspect he is back Wednesday. I wonder who isn’t hurt and who our black aces are cuz with the lack of scoring depth outside 55 and 81, perhaps it’s time to switch up lines 2 3 and 4. If they win the next game they win the series in 6. Lose and it’s St Louis in 6. What’s concerning tho is if I’m new to hockey, jets look like the wild card team. St. Louis is playing fun aggressive hockey. They hitting every jet every chance they get. Jets ain’t responding except when losing already. Do we have a goon? Edited Sunday at 07:59 PM by Goalie
captaincanuck12 Posted Sunday at 07:59 PM Report Posted Sunday at 07:59 PM If anyone is listening to the post game presser, please let me know what the excuses the Jets and coach are making
Goalie Posted Sunday at 07:59 PM Report Posted Sunday at 07:59 PM (edited) I can’t listen to that crap right now. I literally rage quit sportsnet after the game to avoid the talking heads. Montreal btw is known for Cinderella runs in the playoffs. Exact opposite of the Jets. Edited Sunday at 08:01 PM by Goalie
M.O.A.B. Posted Sunday at 08:04 PM Report Posted Sunday at 08:04 PM Gonna be an early exit for theses guys. Maybe they loves to play golf than playing for the Stanley. captaincanuck12 and Noeller 1 1
Goalie Posted Sunday at 08:10 PM Report Posted Sunday at 08:10 PM (edited) They already won 1 more game in the playoffs than last year so maybe they feel that’s a good step. Truly baby steps here. Not over until u lose at home tho. Edited Sunday at 08:10 PM by Goalie

Goalie Posted Sunday at 10:08 PM Report Posted Sunday at 10:08 PM (edited) Arniel basically said he liked the 1st. That was a good road period minus the late goal which he called a coverage problem. Liked the first 7 8 minutes of the 2nd then the wheels fell off and they imploded. Says it’s uncharacteristic the mistakes they making , he’s not wrong. Says 2 of our guys go in to the corner with 1 blue and the blue comes out with it leading to another goal. Says blues playing well but it’s the best of 3 now. Mention he’s confident 100 percent on Helle and says he can’t stop what he can’t see and right now he’s not seeing it and if he is, it deflects off our guy and in. Wasn’t asked about refs. Wasn’t asked about line combos. Mainly Helle. Morrissey and Samberg are good but struggling to clear the net. Pionk Demelo and schenn struggling mightily clearing the net tho. They can’t clear it. It’s a huge issue. Was last year vs Colorado also. Colorado tho never hit everything that moves. Blues are good. This could be 7. this is why i preferred Minnesota regardless of them playing well against the knights. Jets matchup better with Minnesota and St. Louis now hasn’t lost at home in 14. Goalie Posted Sunday at 10:25 PM Report Posted Sunday at 10:25 PM (edited) I’ll say this here. when Helle and the boys went to the Western conference finals against Vegas , you know the difference between this team and that one minus a 2 center? Our D were big and tall and mean. Buff. Myers. Trouba. Then you had Josh. Toby and probably Stuart. Our d pushed around vs Colorado and now against St. Louis. No putting 6 8 Stanley in wouldn’t help as like Schenn and miller, he’s to slow. Buff myers jake were not slow. trouba Josh buff Toby myers stuart demelo josh pionk samberg schenn fleury. night and day forwards are to small also. Nobody doing **** outside 55 81 ( 81 be lazy defensively tho tonight) and Barron. Edited Sunday at 10:29 PM by Goalie captaincanuck12 1

Goalie Posted 14 hours ago Report Posted 14 hours ago (edited) Ehlers won’t be back anytime soon. The rumor is he has a broken tibia. Plus he’s 150 pounds soaking wet. Wouldn’t help. Edited 14 hours ago by Goalie

SpeedFlex27 Posted 13 hours ago Report Posted 13 hours ago 10 minutes ago, Goalie said: He is and there’s talk jets moving on cuz injury history He pends more time in the infirmary than on the ice. He doesn't help us on the ice wearing icepacks over the big bruise that is his body.

I think it’s apparent we are just a bit too small for the playoffs right now. Need size and grit. Nino has been a huge disappointment also. Edited 13 hours ago by Goalie

I'm not against the idea of moving on from him, but Jets management have not said a word to anyone regarding the matter. Bottom line is he is the only play driver they have for the 2nd line. If they are to move on from him they better be able to find another comparable play driver. Ehlers return could be a good thing or a bad thing, it will depend on cost. I don't believe for a second the Jets have no interest in him and I think they would be crazy not to, however, I do believe they have a max number on his worth and that number is probably not going to get it done. GCn20 Posted 9 hours ago Report Posted 9 hours ago (edited) A couple frustrating losses for sure. However, I thought we outplayed them pretty significantly last game in the first and then periods 2 and 3 were kind of even. It was a closer game than the score dictated because St. Loo had all the puck luck and we had none to speak of. We are going to need more at home, but I think we will get more at home. Those suggesting that St. Loo is hitting us out of the building need to look at the stats. The first game in Loo we outhit them, and last game we finished a couple hit shy of them. Our team will look a lot better getting Lowry/JoMo out against the Thomas line, and getting our first line out against their weak defensively 2nd line again. Match ups are huge in the playoffs and it is now advantage Winnipeg next game. I expect an entirely different result. Edited 9 hours ago by GCn20 captaincanuck12 and AB BomberFan 1 1
captaincanuck12 Posted 8 hours ago Report Posted 8 hours ago @GCn20 hope so. Maybe home ice is a lot bigger than we realize as @Goalie has said. Although we desperately need Lowry and Namets lines to step it up. We're not going to win if we don't' get secondary scoring.
