The Unknown Poster Posted October 4, 2013 Report Posted October 4, 2013 Saw this on the other board. Apparently Madani was on the radio saying Sask is hot for Alex Hall who has declined two contract offers from the Bombers.
Valderan_CA Posted October 4, 2013 Report Posted October 4, 2013 well no ****... as far as defensive ends go Hall isn't half bad at what he does
TrueBlue Posted October 4, 2013 Report Posted October 4, 2013 It would be foolish of Hall to sign an extension now anyways. I am not putting any stock, at this point, in the fact that he has turned down two offers from us meaning that he would go and sign with another CFL team.
17to85 Posted October 4, 2013 Report Posted October 4, 2013 8 teams in the CFL want Hall. I would suggest that his reluctance to sign is more to do with wanting another shot at the NFL than anything else. Blue-urns 1
Mike Posted October 4, 2013 Report Posted October 4, 2013 I highly doubt Hall will be back. He's not a big fan of the situation here.
The Unknown Poster Posted October 4, 2013 Author Report Posted October 4, 2013 Regardless of why he won't sign here now, trade him. If Sask is desperate and will over-pay for a rental, do it. Do it all day long. We need to set the table for next year. Noeller 1
voodoochylde Posted October 4, 2013 Report Posted October 4, 2013 I highly doubt Hall will be back. He's not a big fan of the situation here. I'm usually not down on the organization but this clown show is going to cost us a chance at retaining and attracting good players .. it's going to be a long while before we dig ourselves our of this mess. The Unknown Poster Posted October 4, 2013 Author Report Posted October 4, 2013 If a respected former player like Wade Miller doesnt instill some sense that things will be different, what more can you do
M.O.A.B. Posted October 4, 2013 Report Posted October 4, 2013 I got a feeling that Hall will not be a Bomber by Wednesday next week. Maybe Walters and Taman is just finalizing what value will Sask going to send in return

We need to set the table for next year. I actually agree with this, but no way do I trade Hall for peanuts. I'm not a huge Durant fan, but I think I'd take him and their 1st rounder next year for Hall and a later round pick...

The Unknown Poster Posted October 4, 2013 Author Report Posted October 4, 2013 You think they'd give up a first rounder and a later round for a pending UFA with NFL aspirations?
Jpan85 Posted October 4, 2013 Report Posted October 4, 2013 I got excited that the Riders might be in interested in Max Hall for a moment Noeller 1

There is so much wrong with your post I do not even know where to begin lol First of all, you THINK you'd trade Hall for Durant and Saskatchewan's first rounder? If that deal were ever an option, I'd accept it immediately. Second, why on earth do you think a team that would be dealing for assets to help them load up for their Cup run would dump their starting quarterback in return? Blue-urns and TrueBlue 2
Noeller Posted October 4, 2013 Report Posted October 4, 2013 Durant is big time under fire out there....and Taman is their GM. I don't see it as that far fetched...
Jpan85 Posted October 4, 2013 Report Posted October 4, 2013 I think Durant will be available this off season but no way are will they trade him in season.

Usually a team can start turning the tide of ill repute by either a very good signing, or a few solid signings. This is something we have been missing for several years. Look at the excitement here in the 'Peg for a few minor transactions. But, unfortunately, we're in deep, and this new CBA is a tremendous impediment to any GM trying to make a statement. The Ottawa entry into the CFL also complicates the re-building of the roster. Bad timing for the team and bad timing for Walters to make an impact.

sweep the leg Posted October 4, 2013 Report Posted October 4, 2013 A majority of posters on Riderfans are saying they'd deal Willy for him. I'd be all over that. I don't know if Willy will turn into a starter, but getting him for the expiring contract of an import de who most likely won't come back is more than worth it. TBURGESS 1

braddman19 Posted October 4, 2013 Report Posted October 4, 2013 Trade him. It is done all the time in other sports when teams realize that a FA won't be signing back with them. Procure some picks/talent, and start the trading.

The second round pick should be conditional on him signing here.
