Jacquie Posted October 5, 2013 Report Posted October 5, 2013 Will this be a miracle game or a nightmare at McMahon.
17to85 Posted October 5, 2013 Report Posted October 5, 2013 It's Mcmahon, it's always a nightmare, I shudder to think how bad it will be with an inept head coach, probably as bad as it was last year there. First year that I can honestly say I'm not dissappointed that I can't be there to watch.
SmokinBlue Posted October 5, 2013 Report Posted October 5, 2013 Should be a good close game, Calgary won't be taking us seriously and we'll just be playing for fun and ignoring most of what Burke has to say at this point. 27-25 Calgary.
NotoriousBIG Posted October 5, 2013 Report Posted October 5, 2013 78-3 Calgary Nah, 78-8. We miss two field goals in the first half, so we're down 52-2 at half time. Then we get a garbage time TD in the 4th quarter to make it 78-8, but miss the point after. Then a heated debate all week that Burke shoulda went for 2.
RagingIce Posted October 5, 2013 Report Posted October 5, 2013 Can't do much worse than Edmonton is doing right now. I don't care if we win, I just want Hall to show something to build on.
Jpan85 Posted October 5, 2013 Report Posted October 5, 2013 Hopefully we don't kill the horse. But it's pretty windy here.
17to85 Posted October 5, 2013 Report Posted October 5, 2013 Can't do much worse than Edmonton is doing right now. be careful what you say about this team. Don't under estimate just how inept they can be.
SmokinBlue Posted October 5, 2013 Report Posted October 5, 2013 Yup good close game lol, good thing I chose to play computer games instead.
pigseye Posted October 6, 2013 Report Posted October 6, 2013 Nice defense, let's be sure to bring them ALL back next year.
Jpan85 Posted October 6, 2013 Report Posted October 6, 2013 Kyle Walters pitch should be take Henoc and we will throw in Cauchy for free.
iso_55 Posted October 6, 2013 Report Posted October 6, 2013 Well, if you take away all the Stamps scoring drives, Glenn throwing for 300 & Cornish running for 208 yards it wasn't all that bad.
Mr Dee Posted October 6, 2013 Report Posted October 6, 2013 Well, if you take away all the Stamps scoring drives, Glenn throwing for 300 & Cornish running for 208 yards it wasn't all that bad. Completely agree.
iso_55 Posted October 6, 2013 Report Posted October 6, 2013 Has apathy hit this board??? Wow, ghost town... Not hard to understand though. This loss didn't even upset me. No one else seems upset either. It's like a "Whatcha gonna do?" response. What upset me was Suitor telling the world he believes Tim Burke will be retained. That was a WTF moment with me. I'm like, would the Bombers actually be that stupid?

Mr Dee Posted October 6, 2013 Report Posted October 6, 2013 Well, we're all expecting a whirlwind of activity that will carry away both players and staff away from IGF property. But will it happen according to what we, the fans see, or as others, those in charge, see it? Do they dare fall back on the $$ excuse or will there actually be a proper purge? Hopefully, Miller and company will get past the money issues and start off properly...with a new regime, properly vetted. That's all we ask..and what we deserve.
iso_55 Posted October 6, 2013 Report Posted October 6, 2013 I'm just amazed that Burke may come back... The thought that the Bombers would kick their fans in the nuts when they're down by keeping Burke is really upsetting. No respect for the fanbase.
17to85 Posted October 6, 2013 Report Posted October 6, 2013 if they retain burke to save money mark my words it will cost them far more money in the long run because people just won't show up.
billfrank Posted October 6, 2013 Report Posted October 6, 2013 if they retain burke to save money mark my words it will cost them far more money in the long run because people just won't show up.I agree, the amount you'll pay out for the rest of Burke's contract is very small compared to the revenue lost with a non-competitive team. I would be stunned if he comes back. I've heard it argued that he was dealt a bad hand, with poor talent, no QB, and an incompetent OC. While true, no one held a gun to his head, he took the position, accepted the situation, and needs to wear this teams record on his head. He hasn't impressed me as a good head coach caught in a bad situation; he strikes me as a terrible head coach who made a bad situation worse. Even Bob Irving, one of his defenders, admitted in the post game show that it would be very difficult for the Bombers to bring him back after a season like this.
Jacquie Posted October 6, 2013 Author Report Posted October 6, 2013 I know there's been a lot of criticism directed at Will Ford at times but you have to admit he had a hell of a game. Was anyone else peeved they didn't get him the ball more. He had 12 touches on offence for 161 yards (11 carries for 156 yards, 1 reception for 5 yards).
Floyd Posted October 6, 2013 Report Posted October 6, 2013 Finally listening to Bob... Sick of Burke wanking about 'want to be more veteran as a team...' - yeah, Mack is to blame for a lot of this but I can't believe that Burke was not involved in cutting Logan and, of course, Hefney. Ridiculous. Burke subtly calls out the talent on his team... again. Trade Muamba, Hall, anyone while we can still get something for them...
Brandon Posted October 6, 2013 Report Posted October 6, 2013 Can anyone give a recap of the post game show? Was Irving still pissed as he was earlier in the game? Did Burke actually have some sort of emotion, if I was him i'd be melting down like Kavis did in the past....
billfrank Posted October 6, 2013 Report Posted October 6, 2013 Can anyone give a recap of the post game show? Was Irving still pissed as he was earlier in the game? Did Burke actually have some sort of emotion, if I was him i'd be melting down like Kavis did in the past.... Burke sounded flat, emotionless. I'm sure he's upset, but his lack of emotion comes off sounding strange. The OB commentators came off sounding more concerned than he was.
iso_55 Posted October 6, 2013 Report Posted October 6, 2013 Burke has had a hand in everything as he is the frigging HC. If he's trying to pass on the "poor me" sob story it's all BS. Being a HC he's in on all personnel matters. He has to wear the horns for this nightmare season. He HAS to go!! Blue-urns 1
Jacquie Posted October 6, 2013 Author Report Posted October 6, 2013 Burke subtly calls out the talent on his team... again. Subtly calls them out? That's a first. There's usually nothing subtle about it.
