17to85 Posted October 25, 2013 Report Posted October 25, 2013 Everyone is a superstar when Ricky Ray is your QB.....I'm pretty sure he's even making their defense better somehow... Edmonton wasn't exactly a powerhouse in Rays last few years there. but they were 11-7 in his last year there and look how much of a disorganized mess that team looked without him. With a Ricky Ray it makes it so much easier to build a team because you know exactly what kind of offence to install because you know what Ray does well and it makes receivers look good cause he's putting balls right where they can be caught. He's pretty f'ing good and will make a team better, no doubt about that. Edmonton did put up some losing seasons with him though. Adding Ray to a hot mess of a team will only cool that mess, not fix it completely. Toronto has a pretty good team, and coaching staff, around Ray, which is helping him to do things like what happened last night.

I don't think the Argos are as good a team as the hype. They're really only first in the east because the Bombers are so inept this year and the Als are only slightly less inept. Hell the ticats look like a real team this year because of it too. You put a qb like Ray out there it make everything look better. Honestly the only thing that matters is that they got a decent looking coach in Milanovich and got Ray, but there are any number of GMs who can hire a good coach which is the biggest thing. Barker didn't look like he'd built much of a team when he had Cleo Lemon as his qb.

Teams have to respect the run just a tad more and Ray takes advantage of that.

TBURGESS Posted October 25, 2013 Report Posted October 25, 2013 Toronto's success is more than just Ray. They win with him and they win without him. Blue-urns 1
Mr Dee Posted October 25, 2013 Author Report Posted October 25, 2013 Yes, they win with him and without him, but you can't tell me Collaros would have put up a masterful performance like that and that, to me, was worth a victory for TO. We can't take those passes he dropped in there for granted, nor his calm in his reads. The rust is off and he is ready to play.
Brandon Posted October 25, 2013 Report Posted October 25, 2013 Toronto's success is more than just Ray. They win with him and they win without him. No doubts , they won with Collaros, a 3rd string rb and a banged up Owens and didn't they fully rebuild the secondary this season..... I do know the coaching they have is fantastic but the GM definitely wasn't a slouch either. Blue-urns 1
SmokinBlue Posted October 25, 2013 Report Posted October 25, 2013 Why not, other backups have done it to us.
The Unknown Poster Posted October 27, 2013 Report Posted October 27, 2013 Why would barker want to leave Toronto?
kelownabomberfan Posted October 27, 2013 Report Posted October 27, 2013 Why would barker want to leave Toronto? I could see why everyone would want to leave Toronto, the better question is - why would you want to leave to take the top job with the Bombers? In Toronto at least you are free from the prying eyes of the media and fans, as there aren't any. And in Winnipeg the media is downright terrible. Stay in Toronto hotdog man.
Blueandgold Posted October 27, 2013 Report Posted October 27, 2013 Why would barker want to leave Toronto? Apparently he wanted the RedBlacks GM job to begin with.
gbill2004 Posted November 4, 2013 Report Posted November 4, 2013 He just signed with the Cincinnati Bengals.
Jpan85 Posted November 4, 2013 Report Posted November 4, 2013 He just signed with the Cincinnati Bengals. Makes sense with Geno Atkins done for the year. Probably not a long term landing spot due to the depth of the Bengles at DT.
Tracker Posted November 4, 2013 Report Posted November 4, 2013 He just signed with the Cincinnati Bengals. Aww, crap. Maybe next year....
Mike Posted November 4, 2013 Report Posted November 4, 2013 Unless he makes a huge impact, Bilukidi won't be a Bengal beyond 2013. Atkins is on IR for the year, but we have plenty of depth on the line when he's healthy and there probably wouldn't be a spot for Christo.

CFL News @CFL_News 1m RT .@Bengals: NFL announces contract of DT Christo Bilukidi (from Canada) has been voided. Doesn't have proper documentation to work in US
Mike Posted November 4, 2013 Report Posted November 4, 2013 Just checked my Twitter feed ... apparently the permit Bilukidi had to work with the Raiders is non-transferable. Has to re-apply and then can sign.

SPuDS Posted November 4, 2013 Report Posted November 4, 2013 ouchie. sucks to be christiano.. hope.he can sort it out and keep the dream alive but if not, we are here with arms wide open lol

Brandon Posted November 4, 2013 Report Posted November 4, 2013 He would be great trade bait at worst. Is Harris a free agent , if not make a trade with BC?

Bengals won't have room for him, bombers will
