gbill2004 Posted October 26, 2013 Report Posted October 26, 2013 I was very impressed with him last game in Toronto. Looks to have good hands and could be a great possession receiver. He's 10 years younger than Terrance Edwards. I say we let Edwards walk next season and Miles is his replacement.
James Posted October 26, 2013 Report Posted October 26, 2013 I like Wallace Miles.... Burke said he's a very cerebral type receiver, nothing flashy physically but plays a good game within the game. If this is true, that's much more important to me than a 4.3 speed.
TBURGESS Posted October 26, 2013 Report Posted October 26, 2013 Miles certainly earned an invite to next years TC.
Atomic Posted October 26, 2013 Report Posted October 26, 2013 It said in the paper that Miles is an FA after this season, for what its worth. Its too bad he got injured at training camp because it kinda derailed his season. I remember standing with Buchko at training camp and I asked him if he was excited about any player in particular and he mentioned Wallace Miles. Maybe he was on to something.
pigseye Posted October 26, 2013 Report Posted October 26, 2013 I think TE's time as a Bomber is coming to an end. They surely won't protect him so either Ottawa will scoop him up or he may dealt but, if he isn't I would hope he's back for camp next season, he could still be very productive in a limited roll with the team.
SPuDS Posted October 26, 2013 Report Posted October 26, 2013 Miles definitely earnes a spot at camp next year and a decent contract offer (same or a bit better as he did score a td and hit 100 in limited time)
Captain Blue Posted October 26, 2013 Report Posted October 26, 2013 I thought he was really good in the limited time I saw him in TC, definitely think he's worth another look next season.
rebusrankin Posted October 28, 2013 Report Posted October 28, 2013 Edwards on a reduced contract/ vet role ala Milt in 08?
Noeller Posted October 28, 2013 Report Posted October 28, 2013 Edwards stated earlier this summer that he'll retire a Bomber. So either we bring him back for another go 'round (...I say likely...) or he'll retire.
17to85 Posted October 28, 2013 Report Posted October 28, 2013 Edwards is still that good veteran presence that everyone is all up in arms about the Bombers not having enough of. Maybe he's not the #1 receiver anymore but to me he's still got a role here. Noeller 1
Noeller Posted October 28, 2013 Report Posted October 28, 2013 Many would argue he never should have been a #1 receiver in the first place...
17to85 Posted October 29, 2013 Report Posted October 29, 2013 well that's debatable, there were a few years there when I don't think he was too out of place as the teams #1.
Rich Posted October 29, 2013 Report Posted October 29, 2013 Edwards was in the unenviable position of being the #1 receiver after Milt retired. Big shows for any receiver to step into and live up to.
Mr Dee Posted October 29, 2013 Report Posted October 29, 2013 Edwards was in the unenviable position of being the #1 receiver after Milt retired. Big shoes for any receiver to step into and live up to. And now they're expecting to walk Miles in those shoes. Blue-urns 1
Jpan85 Posted October 29, 2013 Report Posted October 29, 2013 Edwards I think said its up to the Bombers to pick up the option if not he would probably retire.
SPuDS Posted October 29, 2013 Report Posted October 29, 2013 Edwards will be back in a similar role as this.season id imagine... expected to be the anchor if the qb cant connect with the other guys and to draw defenders.away.
IC Khari Posted October 29, 2013 Report Posted October 29, 2013 Edwards was in the unenviable position of being the #1 receiver after Milt retired. Big shows for any receiver to step into and live up to. Big shows indeed
