Noeller Posted November 2, 2013 Report Posted November 2, 2013 17to85 Dave and I debating worst Bomber QBs. Talking about where Boltus ranks in that list. He brings up that short, fat guy from the NFL that we brought up and was highly touted but was SOOOO fat. Who was that??
Logan007 Posted November 2, 2013 Report Posted November 2, 2013 I don't know but Sammy Garza should make that list. I'm going to search the internet for the fat guy now. FYI...WTF!?!?!? How did Buck make our top 10 QB's? http://www.dailyheraldtribune.com/2012/09/03/10-best-quarterbacks-who-have-played-for-the-winnipeg-blue-bombers Noeller 1
Jacquie Posted November 2, 2013 Report Posted November 2, 2013 Possibly 2009 TC - Darrell Hackney - 6' 248 lbs Noeller 1
Logan007 Posted November 2, 2013 Report Posted November 2, 2013 How did you even figure that out? Who the heck remembers who was in training camp and then got released?
Noeller Posted November 2, 2013 Author Report Posted November 2, 2013 How did you even figure that out? Who the heck remembers who was in training camp and then got released? It was a really big deal at the time...
Brandon Posted November 2, 2013 Report Posted November 2, 2013 Hackney wasn't a really big deal at the time, I remember watching him at Training Camp... big arm but he didn't fit whatever Kelly's system was at the time. I can think of a lot of guys that stunk it up for the Blue.... Boltus is definitely up among the crappiest.
JuranBoldenRules Posted November 2, 2013 Report Posted November 2, 2013 Sammy Garza isn't even close to being among the worst. Kevin Mason is the worst I saw. Kent Austin was awful as a Blue Bomber. Mike Quinn was horrendous, NFL west coast style passer who just couldn't make throws or read a CFL defence. Keithen McCant, Shawn Moore both couldn't pass. Brian Ah Yat, Jose Davis awful backups on a great team. DR. CFL 1
JuranBoldenRules Posted November 2, 2013 Report Posted November 2, 2013 TJ Rubley? He actually had some talent though. Just stuck in a horrible situation and tossed on the field right away with tons of hype as a "NFL QB." We're talking about QB's as pathetic as Boltus, like filling their Pampers just attempting to take a snap-bad.
Noeller Posted November 2, 2013 Author Report Posted November 2, 2013 TJ Rubley is the response for people who really don't know that much about the Bombers. It's like people who list "Satisfaction" as the best Rolling Stones song and call themselves "biggest fan ever"...
Noeller Posted November 2, 2013 Author Report Posted November 2, 2013 Tee Martin. Tee Martin's career was single handedly ruined by Kamau Peterson. That guy coulda been something...
gbill2004 Posted November 2, 2013 Report Posted November 2, 2013 Tee Martin.Tee Martin's career was single handedly ruined by Kamau Peterson. That guy coulda been something... Right...I forgot that the Bombers only had one receiver that season.
blueandgoldguy Posted November 3, 2013 Report Posted November 3, 2013 Did that fat ex-Denver QB even play when he was here? I'm sure he sucked but it's hard to know for sure unless you get some game reps (even if it is only pre-season). Offhand, I'd go with Quinn and honorable mention to McDougall.
SPuDS Posted November 3, 2013 Report Posted November 3, 2013 my votes go russ michna, jason boltus and mike quinn..
sweep the leg Posted November 3, 2013 Report Posted November 3, 2013 my votes go russ michna, jason boltus and mike quinn.. Michna doesn't belong on a list of our worst qbs. He wasn't great by any means, but he wasn't terrible. Certainly better than Boltus looked.

It's like people who list "Satisfaction" as the best Rolling Stones song and call themselves "biggest fan ever"... Hey thanks for that. Really though, TJ was the first that came to mind. I remember reading the reports about Hackney, and then the blob appeared.

Brian Ah Yat, Jose Davis awful backups on a great team. Sammy was the first worst QB that I ever watched play, that's why I mentioned him. He was so bad we boo'd him off the field and he flipped us the finger. ...ah the good ol days.

It's like people who list "Satisfaction" as the best Rolling Stones song and call themselves "biggest fan ever"... Depends what argument you're making. He was terrible here. That's pretty hard to argue. Whether or not he's a terrible qb is a different conversation. The best Stones song is "Gimme Shelter", & it's not close. iso_55 1
Noeller Posted November 3, 2013 Author Report Posted November 3, 2013 Rubley was bad, but it's such a cliche...
rebusrankin Posted November 3, 2013 Report Posted November 3, 2013 Boltus might be the most incompatent ever. How do you not know to just fall on the ball in the fumble? Tee Martin and Rubley were bad but not that useless. How about Raymond Philew in 98?
Brandon Posted November 3, 2013 Report Posted November 3, 2013 Whoever says tee martin was this bad needs to gtfo. Not even remotely close to even the top ten worst qbs we seen in the last 20. Honestly with mechanics and decisions Boltus definitely could be the top spot. If we are basing it off how much they were paid and expectations then top three would be Austin, Bell and Pierce

Otherwise, for expectations vs performance Austin would be the right choice for the worst of that category.
