wpgallday1960 Posted November 6, 2013 Report Posted November 6, 2013 I'm surprised the Bombers managed to get 4 on that list. Not a lot of RB depth in the East this year. And Edem on the team stings.

Mike Posted November 6, 2013 Report Posted November 6, 2013 Ford as a RB ... Interesting. Duron Carter is an obvious snub in my mind. 6 less games than Grant, only 39 less yards and 3 MORE touchdowns. Nick Moore is another obvious snub. 3rd in the league in receiving yards and he's not a divisional all-star? Cordarro Law is a bit of a snub but obviously he lost his bid because Alex Hall is a Rider now. Billy Parker is a weird nomination, would rather see a guy like Dee Webb or Demond Washington. Obviously the East was tough this year though. Not a single unanimous selection.
Noeller Posted November 6, 2013 Author Report Posted November 6, 2013 Will Ford gets an East Div All Star nod based on two big runs......yeesh.
bluto Posted November 6, 2013 Report Posted November 6, 2013 pretty good teams. i think i could win with one of those.
blitzmore Posted November 6, 2013 Report Posted November 6, 2013 pretty good teams. i think i could win with one of those. Burke couldn't...he would find a way to screw it up....too old...too young...too much salary...too much celery...
gbill2004 Posted November 6, 2013 Report Posted November 6, 2013 Henoc's price tag just went up. Great.

17to85 Posted November 6, 2013 Report Posted November 6, 2013 Ford as a RB ... Interesting. that's not the word I used. johnzo 1
Mike Posted November 6, 2013 Report Posted November 6, 2013 Henoc's price tag just went up. Great. Probably not. Probably just a slight difference in base salary vs. bonuses. As in a base of 150k instead of a base of 135k+15k bonus for divisional all-star. Inaccurate numbers, but the general idea still applies. Besides, that's an upgrade the Bombers will WANT to pay for.
iso_55 Posted November 6, 2013 Report Posted November 6, 2013 How many of us thought Glen January would make the East All Star team?

I meant in the context of the ongoing negotiations. Henoc's agent now uses the 'all star' status to drive up the price.
Mike Posted November 6, 2013 Report Posted November 6, 2013 He can try but for the most part, that type of accolade would result in a bump in base salary but not much towards the total max value of a contract.
braddman19 Posted November 6, 2013 Report Posted November 6, 2013 I think that all the nominations for Henoc would add up to a bigger increase than the all-star status. Lets give his agent more pull in the negotiations... just deem him the best player ever to ever play any sport ever in history. <sarcasm>

17to85 Posted November 6, 2013 Report Posted November 6, 2013 I'm surprised the Bombers managed to get 4 on that list. probably 5 since Alex Hall was here most of the year too.
SPuDS Posted November 6, 2013 Report Posted November 6, 2013 How many of us thought Glen January would make the East All Star team? well he is one of the more dependable tackles in the league, let alone the east.. hes very rarely responsible for a QB getting hit.. thought his injury this season would have been taken into consideration to be honest but there really isnt alot to choose from lol
Jpan85 Posted November 6, 2013 Report Posted November 6, 2013 On any other team January would get tons of praise but here he is lumped in with the rest of the oline.
17to85 Posted November 6, 2013 Report Posted November 6, 2013 On any other team January would get tons of praise but here he is lumped in with the rest of the oline. Funny I think January is over rated league wide just by being the best of a bad bunch here. He's not as solid as his reputation suggests. TBURGESS and DR. CFL 2

I don't think so.

DR. CFL Posted November 7, 2013 Report Posted November 7, 2013 Ford got on because no one else in the east had a healthy enough RB. January much like last year also got on , at least to his credit due to durability , others also struggled with injuries at the OT spot.
