Atomic Posted June 18, 2013 Report Posted June 18, 2013 I don't hold it against Hefney. I highly doubt it was ever put to him that "You have to play SAM or be released." He probably thought there was no chance they would release him so he was free to stay at halfback. I'm sure reality set in after he was released and he realized he was going to have to accept the change. Mike and Blue-urns 2
TrueBlue Posted June 18, 2013 Report Posted June 18, 2013 Maybe it took his release to get a bit of an attitude adjustment.
Chaosmonkey Posted June 18, 2013 Report Posted June 18, 2013 Now he's playing SAM? Doche. Hope he trys to steal Lewis's Baconators and gets knocked out. Sometimes people get the munchies really bad.....just sayin'
iso_55 Posted June 18, 2013 Report Posted June 18, 2013 Well, there ya go. It's called self preservation. If Heff gets cut again & it's because he won't play Sam then no one will want him. But... that's a solid group of defensive backs & linebackers.... He still has to make the team....
do or die Posted June 18, 2013 Report Posted June 18, 2013 So Hef is now ready, willing and able to play at the SAM.....how precious..... If, after all the water that had already flowed under the bridge.....Hefney really thought he could turn the club down on this, 2 years running....and just continue along his merry way - then he either wanted to pull the ripcord....or he is simply not real bright.... At this point....hope to god, Huff ends up cutting this guy....

do or die Posted June 18, 2013 Report Posted June 18, 2013 Bottom line.....this guy wasn't going to be a veteran leader, (here) that the coaches could lean on....and the younger players emulate.
Jpan85 Posted June 18, 2013 Report Posted June 18, 2013 I would much rather have Washington, JJ and Sears here seems they have no problem going from positions to position
17to85 Posted June 18, 2013 Report Posted June 18, 2013 Funny how losing your job can change a guys attitude like that eh. Guess he figured he got away with it last season so they wouldn't have the balls to cut him this year... oops. Water under the bridge now though no sense worrying about it.
Captain Blue Posted June 18, 2013 Report Posted June 18, 2013 Not all that shocking - the release was a wakeup call - but still one jerk move.
ALuCsRED Posted June 18, 2013 Report Posted June 18, 2013 A little background music for those reading this thread. Dammit Hefney....

And to think I got in trouble on OB for saying " **** Hefney". Got lectured in public, then a private message, the whole bit. My post was deemed offensive. True story.
