Mike Posted June 18, 2013 Report Posted June 18, 2013 Well, this is why you should tell your QB to avoid trying to make a tackle in a preseason game. Mike Reilly, you're up.
saskbluefan Posted June 18, 2013 Report Posted June 18, 2013 Too bad for the guy. How Mike Reilly does is one of the big story lines of the season. Not just in Edmonton either.
Chaosmonkey Posted June 18, 2013 Report Posted June 18, 2013 Does this earn him the label of injury prone?
BBlink Posted June 18, 2013 Report Posted June 18, 2013 That was a fairly mundane play that got him hurt. It's too bad. He was looking great.
M.O.A.B. Posted June 18, 2013 Report Posted June 18, 2013 I think we've seen the last game played by Nichols. cue the Brink or McPherson CFL comeback.
voodoochylde Posted June 18, 2013 Report Posted June 18, 2013 Won't be McPherson .. he's signed with the AFL
kelownabomberfan Posted June 18, 2013 Report Posted June 18, 2013 Alex Brink, come on down. That 3rd stringer Edmonton has is the reincarnation of Bad Banks. Tunnel-vision.
M.O.A.B. Posted June 18, 2013 Report Posted June 18, 2013 Won't be McPherson .. he's signed with the AFL I dont think CFL and AFL has gentleman agreement. I believe AFL players can easily get out of their existing contracts.
MOBomberFan Posted June 18, 2013 Report Posted June 18, 2013 Ouch! Sucks for him, and sucks for EDM. I guess we're all going to find out just how good a starter Mike Reilly really is... Last I heard, Adrian McPherson was pretty happy to be where he is at now. Playing in his home state, he's a big fish in a small pond (relatively speaking). Down in the AFL he is one of the top 5 passers (yardage) and the current league leader in both rushing yards and TDs... may be tough to walk away from the spotlight to back up Mike Reilly.
Mr Dee Posted June 18, 2013 Report Posted June 18, 2013 Does this earn him the label of injury prone? No, by my ciphering, regarding Nichols, it's a 20 to one ratio to Buck.
Chaosmonkey Posted June 18, 2013 Report Posted June 18, 2013 No, by my ciphering, regarding Nichols, it's a 20 to one ratio to Buck. How does that relate to the Lumsden scale?
Mr Dee Posted June 18, 2013 Report Posted June 18, 2013 Lumsden's scale is harder to figure out as it keeps bobbing up and down.
17to85 Posted June 18, 2013 Report Posted June 18, 2013 Does this earn him the label of injury prone? I think that earns him the label of done as a football player. Last two times he's played he's suffered significant injuries... who wants to give a guy like that a 3rd chance? Feel bad for the kid but that's the harsh reality of pro sports.
JuranBoldenRules Posted June 18, 2013 Report Posted June 18, 2013 His chances of being our starting QB in 2014 just increased. Blue-urns 1
Atomic Posted June 18, 2013 Report Posted June 18, 2013 His chances of being our starting QB in 2014 just increased. You sure are bitter lately.
bluto Posted June 18, 2013 Report Posted June 18, 2013 His chances of being our starting QB in 2014 just increased. You sure are bitter lately. i lol'd and as to McPherson, good for him. i hear he's tearing up that league. i wonder if he'll be in the running for the Ottawa gig.
iso_55 Posted June 18, 2013 Report Posted June 18, 2013 Feel bad for Nicholls. I hear he's an outstanding guy. These are injuries he can overcome. Hank tore his ACL in 1998 & missed the entire season & look he's still playing at his age.
Guest Posted June 19, 2013 Report Posted June 19, 2013 Sucks for Nichols, just came back from a serious injury and sustains yet another. I suppose we'll get to see what Reilly's made of now since he's the uncontested #1.

Brandon Posted June 19, 2013 Report Posted June 19, 2013 It really is to bad that Nichols and Tate can't stay healthy.... the league needs solid QB's and they seem to have issues staying healthy.
