Noeller Posted December 17, 2013 Report Posted December 17, 2013 "@CFL_News: Marcel Bellefeuille is about to return to his post as OC with #Bombers...via @Fifthqtr #CFL"Booo... rebusrankin 1
Captain Blue Posted December 17, 2013 Report Posted December 17, 2013 Here's to hoping this isn't true...
rebusrankin Posted December 17, 2013 Report Posted December 17, 2013 Hope this is false. Marcel is a mediocre OC (see Winnipeg 2013, his tenures as OC in Saskatchewan, Hamilton and Montreal)
SPuDS Posted December 17, 2013 Report Posted December 17, 2013 Ulrich.. Reputable? Never heard of him.. Any relation to *****? Also, not the end of the world if true.. Offense DID improve under him regardless of what people say.. Tho, blind squirrel finding a nut concept does factor in, yes..
Mr. Perfect Posted December 17, 2013 Report Posted December 17, 2013 Offense DID improve under him regardless of what people say.. Not the most sterling accomplishment in the world considering how it was previously...
SPuDS Posted December 17, 2013 Report Posted December 17, 2013 Offense DID improve under him regardless of what people say..Not the most sterling accomplishment in the world considering how it was previously... Yup. Hence the blind squirrel finding a nut concept mentioned as well.. Regardless, if true, coulda been worse..
iso_55 Posted December 17, 2013 Report Posted December 17, 2013 Bellefeuille came here under the worst possible situation. It was a no win situation, actually. A lot of coaches wouldn't have touched it with a 10 foot pole. He actually got the offense to improve under his tutelage. He also didn't have a lot to work with & still made some good things happen. Max Hall didn't throw a pick his last 3 games & seemed to be getting better as time went on. While I'm not 100% thrilled, I think if we have a better OL & a qb in place that we'll be even better next season. At least he has experience which is what we need. Not convinced Khari Jones would be much better than Marcel calling the plays. I really want to see a proper qb coach in place to help the young qbs develop faster & to help them on the sidelines game day. Mr Dee 1

Tho, blind squirrel finding a nut concept does factor in, yes.. you can spray febreeze on a pile of **** and it might smell a bit better but it's still a pile of ****. Mr. Perfect and Noeller 2
Jacquie Posted December 17, 2013 Report Posted December 17, 2013 Ulrich.. Reputable? Never heard of him.. Any relation to *****? He's with the Vancouver Province. He covers the Lions.
iso_55 Posted December 17, 2013 Report Posted December 17, 2013 Ulrich is as well connected with the CFL as any beat writer covering a team.
Jacquie Posted December 17, 2013 Report Posted December 17, 2013 I'll believe it when they make the official announcement.
gbill2004 Posted December 17, 2013 Report Posted December 17, 2013 I'm okay with this. Bellefeulille is an experienced CFL coach and thats what we need with a rookie HC. I just hope Boltus is nowhere near the Bombers next season. A QB coach is a must.
NotoriousBIG Posted December 17, 2013 Report Posted December 17, 2013 Not impressed with this move based on what I saw in Hamilton and SK. Can't really judge based on what he did in a few months with the BB and no QB. Overall, I would prefer KJ.
JohnnyOnTheSpot Posted December 17, 2013 Report Posted December 17, 2013 Just speculation on my part but I'm wondering if O'Shea is going with experience here (former HC) because he knows Stubler is going to Calgary.
rebusrankin Posted December 17, 2013 Report Posted December 17, 2013 Marcel who went 8 games without having offense gain 300 total yards last year? The man who had average at best offenses in Hamilton and Saskatchewan? Who made A.C. look cooked in 07?
Mike Posted December 17, 2013 Report Posted December 17, 2013 Marcel who went 8 games without having offense gain 300 total yards last year? The man who had average at best offenses in Hamilton and Saskatchewan? Who made A.C. look cooked in 07? I won't hold 2013 against him because he was working with a pretty clean slate and it DID improve as he went along but ... I've never been a fan prior to 2013
rebusrankin Posted December 17, 2013 Report Posted December 17, 2013 I hold 2013 against him, took him almost half a season to get to 300 yards something Crowton did with the same group 3 times. Feel rewarding him for the couple of good games at the end of 2013 is like rewarding Crowton for a few good games at the end of 2012.
road griller Posted December 17, 2013 Report Posted December 17, 2013 No Marcie for me please. Just when things were looking up, they have to fumble. I have not checked the calendar today, here's hoping its April 1st. road griller 1
Logan007 Posted December 17, 2013 Report Posted December 17, 2013 Yeah, not impressed with MB. We need a winning team and MB is par at best.
braddman19 Posted December 17, 2013 Report Posted December 17, 2013 I will believe it when I am watching a Kyle Walters press conference announcing it. Until then it is just rumors, same as Khari for OC is a done deal.
