I sure hope we have a better answer than Desia Dunn or Jeremy McGee! How bad is Washington's injury, and if he cant go who does? David James? oh boy... Who do we keep on the 42 out of Woodson or Volny? With Edwards not likely ready to go and Anderson injured, who fills in there? I bet it will be Denmark, with Pierce starting at WR opposite Matthews. Fraser Posted June 21, 2013 Report Posted June 21, 2013 I think McGee is going to keep the spot warm for Sears From what I understand Washington is nicked up but will play. From what I understand the only players likely to miss are Edwards and Sears I don't think CDN Running back will matter much. Seems we'll have two Import RB's on the roster like the endof last year. I would be happy to see Denmark in the slot with Pierce on the outside. I think Pierce will eventually earn a full time spot somewhere.

Im concerned about our secondary to start the year. A lot of Hype around Markett but did he do well when the lights came on? McGee just wont cut it at Nickle/Sam. There's a lot of speed with our newcomers, but can they actually play defense? I don't know. Burris marched the ball at will, and so did all of Toronto's back ups. For a while I thought we could afford to realeas Hefney, But now I'm feeling kind of naked in the back end

And I disagree that they will keep Mainor this year. Labbe doesnt cut it on defence. Stephan would be way more beneficial on ST's than Lucas as well.

THe NI recievers are still poblah (or Ettiene) and watson But Edwards is only missing one game if that, what's the point of making a change for Denmark when he's going to have to adjust to WR at some point? MIght as well keep him there from the get go. Honestly I think Pierce could play SB just as much as WR so what you'd really be talking about is Pierce vs. Anderson (who is likely to be Edwards one game replacement) that's a debate that i'll happily have, but I think when we talk about the roster we gotta assume Edwards is going to be a SB even if he is out for game one.

If he's won the starting spot, I wonder how Zach Anderson will fit in with the team? As for Isaac, isn't he injured as well?

Clement might even be #3 if they think he's the best short-yardage QB (Goltz sucks at sneaking). Doubt either Clement or Hall would take a PR spot.

I like Sears too but he's still a wildcard with not much experience at the position and coming off an injury. Also have been a fan of Parker but you gotta think there will be some growing pains there as well.

Yeah I see Sears as having and bit of an adjustment period at the position but I think he will be fine. Parker and McGee are the ones who I am not sold on as much.

Why not groom him at Centre or Greaves, Swiston or ANYONE other that Kowalczuk... Somehow Labbe managed to make the very limited highlight reel of what not to do this pre-season... and has the most job security of almost anyone on the team, ha All or nothing season at a few positions... interesting, anyway.

Well here's a wacky theory... maybe kowalczuk is just a better player than Dunn was. Sure the snaps are a bit wonky but there's obviously something there as an o-lineman when he's lasted as long as he has. I would also suggest that the reason Dunn is released is because they're keeping Pencer around instead.
