Jpan85 Posted December 19, 2013 Report Posted December 19, 2013 Rumour was he was put on our neg list in October.
Captain Blue Posted December 19, 2013 Report Posted December 19, 2013 Really hoping O'Shea can really sell our own FAs and some other ones to sign here. Getting Turner back is great. Also happy to see DeAngelis go. I am confident O'Shea will figure out our special teams. Maybe the years of having comical special teams will finally be over.
SmokinBlue Posted December 19, 2013 Report Posted December 19, 2013 Noo Stuck with these lame jokes till 2016.
saskbluefan Posted December 19, 2013 Report Posted December 19, 2013 Replacing Palardy with Sandro was one of the weirder decisions of the past year. DR. CFL, Blue-urns, johnzo and 1 other 4
Mike Posted December 19, 2013 Author Report Posted December 19, 2013 Noo Stuck with these lame jokes till 2016. Turner will decide when you are stuck with these jokes until. Mr. Perfect 1
kelownabomberfan Posted December 19, 2013 Report Posted December 19, 2013 Replacing Palardy with Sandro was one of the weirder decisions of the past year. I think everyone was tired of Palardy's 35 yard kick-offs. Of course that was with a stiff breeze behind him.
Mr Dee Posted December 19, 2013 Report Posted December 19, 2013 With Sandro being released I would expect to hear that we signed Lirim Hajrullahu in the near future. And people though Bellefeuille's name was hard to pronounce and write!
robynjt Posted December 19, 2013 Report Posted December 19, 2013 I'm tired of this Palardy was released was a bad decision. CRUCIAL illegal kickoffs? No thank you. Now DeAngelis wasn't much better, so good riddance. Signing Turner is awesome. Fingers crossed he stays healthy (that terrifying chest thing last year? Yeesh) and has many more all star seasons for us. Logan007 1

Westy Sucks Posted December 19, 2013 Report Posted December 19, 2013 I think this just re opens Brody Mcknight's chances. I thought the coaches liked his leg strength last year while on PR. and IIRC Brody does both FG and Punting
Bomber_fanaddict Posted December 19, 2013 Report Posted December 19, 2013 With Sandro being released I would expect to hear that we signed Lirim Hajrullahu in the near future. And people though Bellefeuille's name was hard to pronounce and write! Oh god I can't even imagine. Going off memory ... hajrulaluhu? that'll be a nightmare I think we will just be saying "hallelujah" as in "hallelujah we finally scored 3 points.."
Guest Posted December 19, 2013 Report Posted December 19, 2013 Good news all around, I wonder if it was Turner that decided Sandra should be released ?
johnzo Posted December 19, 2013 Report Posted December 19, 2013 I think everyone was tired of Palardy's 35 yard kick-offs. Of course that was with a stiff breeze behind him. Sandro was no hell at kickoffs either. He managed just 7/10 of a yard better than Palardy. Both lagged the rest of the league by a good five yards. And Palardy's longest FG of the year was a yard longer than Sandro's. We shoulda kept Palardy. Blue-urns 1
Dirty30 Posted December 19, 2013 Report Posted December 19, 2013 No worries Turner will play QB and Kicker too.
SPuDS Posted December 19, 2013 Report Posted December 19, 2013 Glad BTJ is back.. Sorenson, Greaves, Morley, Max Hall are too im sure.. Might this be the turning of the tide to land Collaros? "so, we resigned Turner to an extension eh Zack" "so if I sign here, I don't have to live in fear anymore?" rebusrankin 1
SPuDS Posted December 19, 2013 Report Posted December 19, 2013 Also glad to see lirim alphabet soup here for camp too.. Between him and McKnight, should be a good battle.. Anyone know what nationality that name is?

Both are crap, both are gone. Move on. rebusrankin 1
Jimmy Pop Posted December 20, 2013 Report Posted December 20, 2013 We just need someone with distance on kickoffs. Our offence will be scoring so many TDs, we won't have a need for a FG kicker.
Brandon Posted December 20, 2013 Report Posted December 20, 2013 It would be nice to have great kickers.... Watching Jon Ryan kick the piss out of the ball and sending it flying way over the returners head was awesome
Blueandgold Posted December 20, 2013 Report Posted December 20, 2013 First of all Daniel Bryan 2.0 can't be a free agent considering BC released him mid season. I'm happy Sandra got his walking papers, considering he was actually a downgrade from Palardy. Last and most importantly, its great to have Turner back into the fold considering he was easily the best on our D-line(sans Alex Hall of course).
Brandon Posted December 20, 2013 Report Posted December 20, 2013 I thought Daniel Bryan 2.0 was last playing for Edmonton
blueandgoldguy Posted December 20, 2013 Report Posted December 20, 2013 Happy about the extension for Turner..takes away some of the sting from losing out on Stubler. Hope this is just the begining of an exciting offseason full of surprise free agent signings. Weston Dressler please! What the hell happened to Sandro. Kickers should be in their prime until their late 30s, yet this guy appears to be done in his early 30s. Weird.
Mr Dee Posted December 20, 2013 Report Posted December 20, 2013 gary lawless @garylawless 19 Dec told this off-season every trade offer #bombers received last season the first name other teams brought up was Turner. good deal for Walters Clearly, other teams were trying to do the Bombers no good...
SPuDS Posted December 21, 2013 Report Posted December 21, 2013 Thats not too surprising... Turners a beast AND a great locker room presence.. I expect he will be leaned on to be a leader on this defense..
Guest Posted December 21, 2013 Report Posted December 21, 2013 Not even sure why O'Neill's name is coming up here, if there's a kicker worth having out of the Eskimo locker room wouldn't that be Shaw ?
