iso_55 Posted December 21, 2013 Report Posted December 21, 2013 According to coachingsearch.com, Pat DelMonaco has joined the Calgary Stampeders as Offensive Line Coach. johnzo, James, Blue-urns and 1 other 4
iso_55 Posted December 21, 2013 Author Report Posted December 21, 2013 Talk about landing on his feet. Brett Jones, Dan Federkeill, Stanley Bryant, Brett Jones, Dmitri Tsoumpas & a lot of depth with backups capable of stepping in & playing well ... He must think he's gone to football heaven.
17to85 Posted December 21, 2013 Report Posted December 21, 2013 Now we can see if he was a problem or not. No one developed on the o-line here time to find out if it was absolutely useless prospects or lack of coaching.
braddman19 Posted December 21, 2013 Report Posted December 21, 2013 Perhaps a little from column A, a little from column B
iso_55 Posted December 21, 2013 Author Report Posted December 21, 2013 Huff is a pretty good judge of talent. .Haven't been many duds on his staff over the years especially at a position as important as this. Makes me wonder if he deserved to be the whipping boy on the coaching staff by fans. Talent or lack thereof has to figure into this when he coached the Bombers.
Mr Dee Posted December 21, 2013 Report Posted December 21, 2013 I don't know whether the O-Line was a product or a problem because of him, or strictly a matter of talent all the way through, but the growth of the players was stagnant, and it seemed we were always "developing'. Time for a change, so I'm not sorry to see Pat DelMonago,
gbill2004 Posted December 21, 2013 Report Posted December 21, 2013 Penton says he has been interviewed but not yet hired.

DR. CFL Posted December 21, 2013 Report Posted December 21, 2013 Tough to make steak out of chicken ****
17to85 Posted December 21, 2013 Report Posted December 21, 2013 Tough to make steak out of chicken **** so you're saying the guys were so devoid of talent that even a good coach couldn't get them to be even a little bit better than when they first got here?
Guest Posted December 21, 2013 Report Posted December 21, 2013 The Stamps can have him, but I'm sure Delmonaco is thrilled to have some top end talent to work with.
iso_55 Posted December 21, 2013 Author Report Posted December 21, 2013 Maybe not,17.Guys like January, Boatman & Morley have probably topped out.
17to85 Posted December 21, 2013 Report Posted December 21, 2013 Maybe not,17.Guys like January, Boatman & Morley have probably topped out. but what about the plethora of others?
Brandon Posted December 22, 2013 Report Posted December 22, 2013 He was garbage in years past we got way more out of our sub par talent then what he did. Glad he's gone!
SPuDS Posted December 22, 2013 Report Posted December 22, 2013 We shall have an opportunity to see what it was at least.. More so talent or more so coaching..
pigseye Posted December 22, 2013 Report Posted December 22, 2013 I'd say talent mostly, the young guys we brought in all seemed to have cement shoes, just terrible footwork which is something that should have been identified in the scouting phase.
