Mike Posted January 15, 2014 Report Posted January 15, 2014 As per Darren Cameron's twitter, the Bombers have signed DB Gabe Loper from South Alabama and LB Kenny Tate from Maryland. Floyd 1
Mike Posted January 15, 2014 Author Report Posted January 15, 2014 IMO, Tate is going to be a good one if his head is on right. Had a very interesting time with Maryland.
Jpan85 Posted January 15, 2014 Report Posted January 15, 2014 Went from receiver to safety to LB. With a little reading looked like he had a dominate year as safety then moved to LB when a new DC came in and regressed a fair bit.
Mike Posted January 15, 2014 Author Report Posted January 15, 2014 I actually remember reading about this guy when I was looking up stuff on Torrey Smith. He was ranked as a top 5 safety in his draft year by Mel Kiper and then his new DC moved him to LB and he got hurt and well, he's just kind of fallen off the map a bit I guess. I wonder where we'll have him line up. I feel like he's going to be a guy they'll fit in wherever we can.
B-F-F-C Posted January 15, 2014 Report Posted January 15, 2014 I likes me a tall physical (hopefully) DB.

Why he's never really got a NFL shot is a question mark after a great NCAA career on the field and in the classroom, but not a whole lot of risk to take a look.

northof60 Posted January 17, 2014 Report Posted January 17, 2014 Darren Cameron @Darren_Cameron 3m #Bombers announce the signing of linebacker Doug Hogue
Logan007 Posted January 17, 2014 Report Posted January 17, 2014 Omg, there's a town called Yonkers. Out there There's a world outside of Yonkers Way out there beyond this hick town, Barnaby There's a slick town, Barnaby
Logan007 Posted January 17, 2014 Report Posted January 17, 2014 Wow...and people listen to that? ...I'm guessing as a means of torture.
Milt Posted January 17, 2014 Report Posted January 17, 2014 I wonder if Hogue is here to play DE. Assuming we keep Henoc, we'd be set at MLB and 6'2 245 is big for WILL not to mention we've got Wild and Parker there.
Jpan85 Posted January 17, 2014 Report Posted January 17, 2014 Over the past couple years it seems like the LB core has had its fair share of injuries compared to the other positions. Depth at that position can never be a bad thing.
Atomic Posted January 17, 2014 Report Posted January 17, 2014 I wonder if Hogue is here to play DE. Assuming we keep Henoc, we'd be set at MLB and 6'2 245 is big for WILL not to mention we've got Wild and Parker there. If Walters was "assuming we keep Henoc", he wouldn't be doing his job. It's just good practice to have import depth at every position, even if you have it pencilled in as an NI position... because you just never know what's going to happen in training camp.
gbill2004 Posted January 17, 2014 Report Posted January 17, 2014 Hogue first started at Syracuse as a RB.
Mike Posted January 17, 2014 Author Report Posted January 17, 2014 I totally didn't expect Doug Hogue to be black. James 1
rebusrankin Posted January 17, 2014 Report Posted January 17, 2014 I totally didn't expect Doug Hogue to be black. What you expected green with pink poka dots.
Logan007 Posted January 18, 2014 Report Posted January 18, 2014 I totally didn't expect to READ*BLACK. I see what you did there. REDBKACK...capitalization. You, good sir, are quite the witty one.
Floyd Posted January 22, 2014 Report Posted January 22, 2014 Pontbriand re-ups http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/breakingnews/Bombers-lock-up-fullback-Pontbriand-241472921.html Noeller 1
Blueandgold Posted January 22, 2014 Report Posted January 22, 2014 I was worried someone would ****** Pontbriand away from us!
braddman19 Posted January 22, 2014 Report Posted January 22, 2014 Sportsnet lists Pontbriand as having 6 carries for 61 yards last year.... is that right?
Noeller Posted January 22, 2014 Report Posted January 22, 2014 His value is on ST...tho he does have an understated value on offense. That guy is always out there busting his ass. Need a lot more like him.
Jacquie Posted January 22, 2014 Report Posted January 22, 2014 Sportsnet lists Pontbriand as having 6 carries for 61 yards last year.... is that right? That's wrong. He had 6 receptions for 61 yards. He had a couple of big receptions against Hamilton in 2 games - one for 19 yards and the other for 25 yards.
