sweep the leg Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 Seems like a steep price, doesn't it?
gbill2004 Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 Kito wasn't in our plans. I like the move lots.
DR. CFL Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 Steep? An established player for who? Maybe they'll move Kito to defence so he can continue to not catch the ball. BC just got the clone of Foster back in a trade.
Jpan85 Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 He had 3 CND receivers ahead of him. Looks like Kohert will back.
Mr. Perfect Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 Not a big fan of this. Granted Kito's time here has been a bit of a let down but I'm not particularly a fan of giving up a young non import for an aging import. I'd hate (and wouldn't be surprised to see) Kito do well with the system that B.C. has and Lulay throwing him the rock. TrueBlue 1
Mr. Perfect Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 He had 3 CND receivers ahead of him. Looks like Kohert will back. Two of which are soon to be free agents, and the other can't stay healthy.
saskbluefan Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 Can't wait for the training camp reports out of BC how good Kito looks and he's about to have a break out season. Then... The games happen.
braddman19 Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 Very very interesting. Happy to have acquired Banks, who can hopefully make a positive change on our defence..... I am assuming that there will be a new contract for Banks though? If he was unwilling to play out his option for BC, I would think we need a new contract to get him to play here?
IC Khari Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 Pooo blaaa ... which describes my reaction and Kito's play. DR. CFL 1
Mr. Perfect Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 Korey Banks @24Banks12m @HenryBurris lets make it happen HANK
Blueandgold Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 What a horrible trade. We still don't even know if Kohlert will come back or not, to mention there's still the possibility Etienne hasn't re-signed.
TrueBlue Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 Not sure how I feel about this. Granted Kito's time here has been a bit of a let down but I'm not particularly a fan of giving up a young non import for an aging import. I'd hate (and wouldn't be surprised to see) Kito do well with the system that B.C. has and Lulay throwing him the rock. I agree. I would have liked to have seen him involved this season a little more. I truly believe he still has the skills to be a decent pass catcher.

Mike Posted January 31, 2014 Author Report Posted January 31, 2014 I fully expect the Bombers to bring Stephen Alli to camp.
Mr Dee Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 On the face of it…Banks for Poblah…I really like it. But…I'm a little anxious that, like Mr. Perfect has stated, we trade an NI for an import. But…there are surely particulars that we are unaware of, such as…impending signings.
DR. CFL Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 While I agree with Blue and Golds concerns I am not sure counting on Kito as a starter was likely still the driving force behind making this deal.

The Unknown Poster Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 traded a benchwarmer with seemingly declining upside for a veteran star talent? Sure, works for me.
17to85 Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 So I had no use for Poblah just because receivers who can't catch don't appeal to me but man.... we have to give up potential (which some GMs over value a lot) for a 34 year old player? Seems steep to me.

Seems steep to me. Everyone should probably keep in mind that while Poblah had potential, he also had a contract that was nowhere near what he is actually worth. The two kind of balance out into an average piece. Poblah was making over 100k a year.
DR. CFL Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 A fart is a potential heat source if you put a match to it and don't get burnt.
Blitzy Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 So I had no use for Poblah just because receivers who can't catch don't appeal to me but man.... we have to give up potential (which some GMs over value a lot) for a 34 year old player? Seems steep to me. I don't see Poblah as potential anymore, and trading him for a proven player is a step in the right direction. Joe Mack loved 'potential' and look where it got us.
Mr. Perfect Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 Andrew Harris @andrewharris3310m All the best @24Banks. Unreal guy in the locker room, great teammate and leader.. And absolute BEAST on the field!
