Mr Dee Posted February 3, 2014 Report Posted February 3, 2014 You know I was reading that they were thinking about moving the date past the 15th of Feb. because it fell on the weekend, but moving it that much forward is quite the surprise. I'm sure the GMs will be ready but it may cause a bit of rearranging of preferences. I would also say that Mr. Burris is now officially on the clock. Blue-urns 1

Because free agency was slated to start on a Saturday when league offices are closed and most media outlets are running reduced schedules.
iso_55 Posted February 4, 2014 Report Posted February 4, 2014 Really, this is no biggie. Makes sense to do it on the 11th. Maybe instead of picking a specified date they should just make it the second Monday in February.
