Bomber_fanaddict Posted February 5, 2014 Report Posted February 5, 2014 For anyone who forgot............
JuranBoldenRules Posted February 5, 2014 Report Posted February 5, 2014 Nicholls is well above any QB we have on the roster. The last two times he stepped on the field in a professional football game he ended up with his foot pointing a different direction and a torn ACL. Joe Montana would have low value in that scenario.
B-F-F-C Posted February 5, 2014 Report Posted February 5, 2014 And some think that Drew Tate is injury prone :o :o I'd take Drew Tate (on condition that he passes a full medical) every day of the week and twice on Sunday.
SPuDS Posted February 5, 2014 Report Posted February 5, 2014 Nicholls is well above any QB we have on the roster. In what context?? Closest to having a debilitating leg injury that lasts forever?
kelownabomberfan Posted February 5, 2014 Report Posted February 5, 2014 why is his shoe on backwards....oh my...
Logan007 Posted February 5, 2014 Report Posted February 5, 2014 why is his shoe on backwards....oh my... OK EVERYONE, this is a trust seminar where you fall backwards and I catch you, then....NO DON"T FALL BACK NOW I'M NOT RE....AAAAAHHHRRRRGGHHH!!!
pigseye Posted February 5, 2014 Report Posted February 5, 2014 It's football bones get broken, they heal, how's his throwing shoulder and nogg'in, those are things you worry about on a QB. Everyone thought Glenn's knees were shot when he was a Bomber and he's done pretty well since leaving, in fact he's been more mobile since leaving. Blue-urns and MOBomberFan 2

It's that steady diet of cruellers and double-doubles.
Brandon Posted February 5, 2014 Report Posted February 5, 2014 I think it's imperative that the team does sign a durable qb....
kelownabomberfan Posted February 5, 2014 Report Posted February 5, 2014 maybe we should sign this guy too...

Everyone thought Glenn's knees were shot when he was a Bomber and he's done pretty well since leaving, in fact he's been more mobile since leaving. It's not so much the broken bones, ruptured tendons as the severity and frequency. Even a guy like Buck has only had one injury that severe, the elbow in 2010, and you could argue he never returned the same after.
pigseye Posted February 5, 2014 Report Posted February 5, 2014 He's only 23, a little early to be crowning him a right off, imo.
JuranBoldenRules Posted February 5, 2014 Report Posted February 5, 2014 He's only 23, a little early to be crowning him a right off, imo. 27 when the season starts.
Mr Dee Posted February 5, 2014 Report Posted February 5, 2014 And the lesson is…serious injuries age players quickly. Blue-urns 1
pigseye Posted February 5, 2014 Report Posted February 5, 2014 lol, you're right, 23 is the number of games he's played.
bluto Posted February 5, 2014 Report Posted February 5, 2014 i think that asking for a "high draft" pick is a good opening salvo from Hervey. the report didn't suggest that he was demanding a 1st rounder so i think that there's room for negotiations here (as there always is). new scenery could be very good for Nichols. Blue-urns 1
kelownabomberfan Posted February 5, 2014 Report Posted February 5, 2014 new scenery could be very good for Nichols. So could finding another line of work. SPuDS 1
kelownabomberfan Posted February 5, 2014 Report Posted February 5, 2014 Nicholls is worth a 5th-7th imo. or a role of quarters. Brandon 1
pigseye Posted February 5, 2014 Report Posted February 5, 2014 For team with no QB, we sure are picky, maybe that's the problem. iso_55 1
JuranBoldenRules Posted February 5, 2014 Report Posted February 5, 2014 Nicholls is worth a 5th-7th imo. Conditional pick. A 6th if he makes our roster out of training camp bumped up to a 4th if he dresses for 12 games, a 3rd if he starts 9 games. Certainly wouldn't give up anything up front for a guy who hasn't shown he's recovered from the first major ligament (and broken ankle) injury before the next one happened (ACL). Blue-urns 1

This sums up my thoughts nicely. Pigseye, not being picky, just don't think he's worth much given his injury history.
Fatty Liver Posted February 5, 2014 Report Posted February 5, 2014 For team with no QB, we sure are picky, maybe that's the problem. Exactly. The Bombers are running out of options and he won't cost us much. Definitely worth a serious look.
M.O.A.B. Posted February 5, 2014 Report Posted February 5, 2014 For team with no QB, we sure are picky, maybe that's the problem. we're not desperate...... err, we're desperate but not that stupid.
