voodoochylde Posted February 6, 2014 Report Posted February 6, 2014 And for those who claimed the idea of the NFL having an interest in Henoc was a joke, here's what Penton wrote: The team targeting him is unknown, but he worked out for more than a dozen squads in the last two months, including Minnesota, Indianapolis, New England and Baltimore. http://www.winnipegsun.com/2014/02/05/losing-muamba-just-salt-in-the-wound-for-blue-bombers if HM does return to the CFL after a few tryouts/offers, under whatever the new SMS turns out to be, i presume he'd be among the first wave of NIs making north of 200k I believe the Bombers were already offering him that. I think, as someone previously mentioned, the Bombers were essentially offering a blank cheque .. indicating they would match (beat) any offer his camp received.
Floyd Posted February 6, 2014 Report Posted February 6, 2014 Well good for him then... I still say he'll have to add 20-30lbs for the NFL game though
robynjt Posted February 6, 2014 Report Posted February 6, 2014 We treated Vega well, he tried the NFL, then came back... just sayin'. Armchair GM 1
Jpan85 Posted February 6, 2014 Report Posted February 6, 2014 Yes it seems like once guys come to play in Winnipeg they tend to like playing here. Except if you are from a neighboring province to the west.

blueandgoldguy Posted February 7, 2014 Report Posted February 7, 2014 Sure hope this works out - our ratio is already in the shitter. You must have missed the news about the acquisition of Matt Bucknor, and the re-signing of Kowalczuk and Lucas. Right there we have the core nucleus of unparalleled NI depth. I forgive you. KBF with an aardvark moment there....
TrueBlue Posted February 7, 2014 Report Posted February 7, 2014 Signed by Indy... Joe Pascucci @Pascucci015 8m Indy Colts have signed Henoc Muamba http://blogs.Colts.com .
rebusrankin Posted February 7, 2014 Report Posted February 7, 2014 Clearly we should have tried to get Luck for Muamba (Wiecek moment) Mr Dee, johnzo and Piggy 1 3
Floyd Posted February 7, 2014 Report Posted February 7, 2014 Congratulations to Henoc. Well, right on for him! As long as he's not in the CFL...
SPuDS Posted February 7, 2014 Report Posted February 7, 2014 Thats awesome news! Congrats to Henoc for this exciting new chapter in his life and hope the kid sticks for awhile.. If not, arms wide open buddy
voodoochylde Posted February 7, 2014 Report Posted February 7, 2014 Congrats to Henoc. It's a damned shame to see him go (though I'll still be repping my Muamba jersey at IGF this year) .. wish him all the best and hopefully he sticks down south .. if not .. hopefully he gives serious consideration to rejoining the Blue and Gold.
voodoochylde Posted February 10, 2014 Report Posted February 10, 2014 Former CFL ILB Henoc Muamba's contract with the Colts is for three years and includes $107,000 guaranteed. It's a solid sum for a player GM Ryan Grigson is essentially signing off the street. (That's how ex-CFL players are viewed in contract terms by NFL teams.) Muamba was a high-impact middle linebacker for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and is only 25 years old. Always casting a wide net for talent, Grigson unearthed Jerrell Freeman from similar obscurity and he's become a high-end NFL starter.
blueandgoldguy Posted February 10, 2014 Report Posted February 10, 2014 Another CFL player goes to the Colts! Congrats to Henoc! The earliest he could come back to the Bombers, assuming he doesn't pan out, would be September then, yes?

That's probably what Americans thought when the LA Galaxy signed Beckham.
