gbill2004 Posted February 11, 2014 Report Posted February 11, 2014 @Darren_Cameron: #Bombers acquire DB Chris Randle from #Stamps, and 26th pick in 2014 Draft, for the 24th pick. Randle has signed extension with Bombers.
Mike Posted February 11, 2014 Report Posted February 11, 2014 I like it. A lot. I don't know where he fits in, but that can sort itself out. Always thought Randle was a baller in Calgary.
gbill2004 Posted February 11, 2014 Author Report Posted February 11, 2014 Was he a starter for Calgary?
JuranBoldenRules Posted February 11, 2014 Report Posted February 11, 2014 Bye bye Stewart. I like Randle a lot, he's the only FA import DB I thought we'd go after. I think he'll play field corner if everyone is healthy, but can play the weak-side too, mostly where he lined up for Calgary. WCB- Sears WHB- Washington S- ? Muamba SHB- Suber/Markett SCB- Randle/McGee Nickel/SAM- Banks/Dunn Dime- Bucknor That's kind of what our depth chart looks like at DB in terms of CFL veterans. Atomic 1
Floyd Posted February 11, 2014 Report Posted February 11, 2014 Interesting move - upgrade from JJ Actually, really like this - sending a message to the rest of the FAs that Wpg is serious
Captain Blue Posted February 11, 2014 Report Posted February 11, 2014 Love it. Randle, Banks, Bucknor - its clear Walters and O'Shea wanted to remake our secondary. I'd still re-sign Stewart but that probably won't happen now.
Tracker Posted February 11, 2014 Report Posted February 11, 2014 I like his size and if I recall, he's a pretty good DB. You can't coach height.
Floyd Posted February 11, 2014 Report Posted February 11, 2014 Randle - Washington - Bucknor - Suber - Markett Wild - ?? - Banks ?? - Anderson - Turner - Vega If Banks and Bucknor can produce, that looks promising... interesting to see how the ratio plays out
Mark H. Posted February 11, 2014 Report Posted February 11, 2014 Good trade - nice to see the secondary being addressed
Mike Posted February 11, 2014 Report Posted February 11, 2014 Randle - Washington - Bucknor - Suber - Markett Wild - ?? - Banks ?? - Anderson - Turner - Vega If Banks and Bucknor can produce, that looks promising... interesting to see how the ratio plays out Sears. For a week at least
Mark H. Posted February 11, 2014 Report Posted February 11, 2014 Sears was our most effective player @ SAM, IMO But like you say, for a week at least
M.O.A.B. Posted February 11, 2014 Report Posted February 11, 2014 good trade. considering we only move 2 spots back and get a good DB. it's amost certain that Stewart is out of the plans too.
Mr Dee Posted February 11, 2014 Report Posted February 11, 2014 This is such a smooth move to avoid Free Agency, for a minimal cost, to a team that is obviously interested in him. Good job.
Bingo_Arms Posted February 11, 2014 Report Posted February 11, 2014 Great signing. This kid has a lot of upside and is only getting better.
braddman19 Posted February 11, 2014 Report Posted February 11, 2014 Intriguing..... the Bombers making moves to improve? That is Unpossible. I like the move. I like the attempts to improve. I like that we aren't sitting around watching potential improvements just pass us by. BattleLevel 1
Mr. Perfect Posted February 11, 2014 Report Posted February 11, 2014 And to think how many people were getting ready to jump off the ledge when Henry chose Ottawa... ...THIS is why you let everything play out folks. yogi and blitzmore 2
Brandon Posted February 11, 2014 Report Posted February 11, 2014 And to think how many people were getting ready to jump off the ledge when Henry chose Ottawa... ...THIS is why you let everything play out folks. Our o-line still needs to be addressed....

Our o-line still needs to be addressed.... Sure it does. Training camp isn't until June though. LOTS of time.
gbill2004 Posted February 11, 2014 Author Report Posted February 11, 2014 One of the Bombers biggest problems last year was lack of depth. If we have some good DBs on the bench, that's a good thing. It'll create competition and push the starters even harder. Great move by Walters. Randle just said in a tweet that the first Bomber he wants to reach out to is Korey Banks.
Mr Dee Posted February 11, 2014 Report Posted February 11, 2014 Our o-line still needs to be addressed.... O-Line ℅ Winnipeg Blue Bombers Football Club 315 Chancellor Matheson Rd, Winnipeg, MB R3T 1Z2 Problem solved. johnzo, bigblue85, Mr. Perfect and 2 others 5
Guest Posted February 11, 2014 Report Posted February 11, 2014 Good move by Walters, get a pretty solid player along with a draft pick only 2 slots lower than the pick traded away. Now find that replacement for Cauchy!
Shanks Posted February 11, 2014 Report Posted February 11, 2014 Just like when Taman was with BB. Keep going Kyle. Take Desjardins to the cleaners on FA day.
kelownabomberfan Posted February 11, 2014 Report Posted February 11, 2014 Just like when Taman was with BB. Keep going Kyle. Take Desjardins to the cleaners on FA day. First sentence does not compute...Taman would have traded our first round pick for Randle. blitzmore, Shanks, Blue-urns and 2 others 5
