sweep the leg Posted February 27, 2014 Report Posted February 27, 2014 Boatmen was serviceable in 2012, but terrible last year. I read he'll likely retire b/c of all the injuries he went through last season.
Mike Posted February 27, 2014 Report Posted February 27, 2014 I'm sure he has a bright future ahead of him. He will make a road construction company very happy one day when they hire him as an orange cone.
Jpan85 Posted February 27, 2014 Report Posted February 27, 2014 His back was really messed up apparently which I am sure had a lot to do with terrible play last year.
gbill2004 Posted February 27, 2014 Report Posted February 27, 2014 I'm shocked...thought Boatman was going to be the cornerstone of the OL turnaround going forward. In all seriousness, for months I coudn't figure out why he was still listed on the Bombers roster. Might be the worst OL I've ever witnessed play last season.
Atomic Posted February 27, 2014 Report Posted February 27, 2014 I'm sure he has a bright future ahead of him. He will make a road construction company very happy one day when they hire him as an orange cone. He's a far better offensive lineman than you'll ever be!!!!
M.O.A.B. Posted February 27, 2014 Report Posted February 27, 2014 Boatman should apply as mascot for the Argos. No costume necessary, just the uniform and name on his back
Dascow Posted February 27, 2014 Report Posted February 27, 2014 I'm sure he has a bright future ahead of him. He will make a road construction company very happy one day when they hire him as an orange cone. He's a far better offensive lineman than you'll ever be!!!! Debatable. Mike 1
iso_55 Posted February 27, 2014 Report Posted February 27, 2014 He could get a job as a turnstile at a rock concert.
Mr Dee Posted February 27, 2014 Report Posted February 27, 2014 The release of Shannon Boatman is a small benchmark for the progress we are making on the O-Line. To consider any improvement up front, he could not be part of the solution. We have just improved.
TBURGESS Posted February 27, 2014 Report Posted February 27, 2014 Only surprise is that it took this long to cut them.
yogi Posted February 27, 2014 Report Posted February 27, 2014 Not surprised considering Boatman was making $400 000 last season Floyd, gbill2004, Logan007 and 1 other 4
DR. CFL Posted February 27, 2014 Report Posted February 27, 2014 Remember sports fans he like you is a human being. Shanks and Noeller 2
Fatty Liver Posted February 27, 2014 Report Posted February 27, 2014 Remember sports fans he like you is a human being. Well no not really.....he's some sore of freakin' boat/man!!!! Atomic 1
iso_55 Posted February 27, 2014 Report Posted February 27, 2014 I doubt Boatman spends any time reading our comments, Dr CFL.
Mr Dee Posted February 27, 2014 Report Posted February 27, 2014 Well we could try to block him from seeing this but he might not recognize the concept.
Blueandgold Posted February 27, 2014 Report Posted February 27, 2014 Has Walters gone mad? We've lost all our depth at DB and lost our main competition to January with this move.
gbill2004 Posted February 27, 2014 Report Posted February 27, 2014 Not surprised considering Boatman was making $400 000 last season Plus bonuses.
Noeller Posted February 28, 2014 Report Posted February 28, 2014 Shame that injuries really derailed Boatman. I was a fan of McGee in his limited action, but certainly, there are many other options out there...
SPuDS Posted February 28, 2014 Report Posted February 28, 2014 Neither move is a terrible shock and as mentioned, the guy played to the best of his abilities with injuries and i suppose age catching up.. He WAS vastly better in toronto so its a shame he went out like he did.. Lets try to keep it as that and not pitch a ***** fit over his poor play. Hes gone, let that ship rockily sail away into retirement..
