IC Khari Posted March 13, 2014 Report Posted March 13, 2014 I'm going with 5 years ... 3 if Dejardins remains GM for more than 2 seasons ... signed #kevinglennshacker
bearpants Posted March 13, 2014 Report Posted March 13, 2014 I hope the team lasts for a long time, I wanna see a 10 team league soon... maybe even 12 in the next 10-15 years would be great... As far as how long Desjardins will last... that's a different story... it would have to be a colossal disaster for him get fired this year but you never know... johnzo 1
bluto Posted March 13, 2014 Report Posted March 13, 2014 new stadium... new TV contract... no reason to be so pessimistic even given prior failures. Jaxon 1
Jpan85 Posted March 13, 2014 Report Posted March 13, 2014 Its going to last a long time with the it being part of a group of teams. Having the junior team, soccer team and football team under one umbrella gives them a lot more financial flexibility. voodoochylde and Jaxon 2
Guest Posted March 13, 2014 Report Posted March 13, 2014 This has got to be one of the dumbest thread ideas I've ever seen on the internet. What is the purpose of this thread to be funny ?

MOBomberFan Posted March 13, 2014 Report Posted March 13, 2014 I hope Ottawa never folds again, as I too would like to see a 10 team league at some point. I think an even better question is: Who wins the cup first? Winnipeg or Ottawa?
DR. CFL Posted March 13, 2014 Report Posted March 13, 2014 A great deal of success of this venture is related to the overall commercial development of the site. That will drive this team. Similar to Asper's plan for the site of the old stadium. The difference being that the Ottawa location is more viable on the banks of the Rideau Canal.
Noeller Posted March 13, 2014 Report Posted March 13, 2014 This thread seems unnecessarily pessimistic, just for the sake of being an *******. Now, i'm usually all in favour of that scenario, but ehhh...
TrueBlue Posted March 13, 2014 Report Posted March 13, 2014 For the sake of league growth, potential and exposure, I want and hope for the Ottawa team to be run in a sustainable manner for the long run. I see no reason why it shouldn't with the right owners and business plan.
Armchair GM Posted March 13, 2014 Report Posted March 13, 2014 new stadium... new TV contract... no reason to be so pessimistic even given prior failures. Bluto's right. The improving TV deals the CFL is getting is making the league less-and-less dependent on gate. People in Ottawa like football. They've finally got owners that are not named Glieberman. I hope they're a permanent fixture, and that it leads to Quebec City or Atlantic expansion within 5 years. Tracker 1
Brandon Posted March 13, 2014 Report Posted March 13, 2014 This thread is garbage. Blueandgold and johnzo 2

Atomic Posted March 13, 2014 Report Posted March 13, 2014 If they ever bring back the Titty Cam we know the end isn't far off
