Nasty Nate Posted April 21, 2014 Report Posted April 21, 2014 What exactly did we learn? In my case - absolutely NOTHING! OK, I learned two things. Well one and a half. 1. Lawless's nickname is Shooter. Guess they call him that cuz he's always trying to be a bit ahead of the media curve. 2. When you play or coach in a smaller market the #1 dictum is 'You must LOVE the city' even if you don't. Just fake it. Fans eat it up and the chamber of commerce gets some joy, too! Anyone learn anything else. Its in today's Wpg Free Press.
iso_55 Posted April 21, 2014 Report Posted April 21, 2014 We learned Claude's a class act. Didn't blame management or players for his firing. I'm sure he's got some strong opinions on his former players & GM but chose to take the high road which is fine as he wants to work in the NHL again. What would it accomplish to be angry & say something like Cheveldayoff never gave him the players to be successful? It would just be sour grapes. I get where he's coming from. The Unknown Poster Posted April 22, 2014 Report Posted April 22, 2014 Yeah. It would always be nice if he shot all over everyone. But that's not his style. And not what a professional does when he wants to keep working.
Nasty Nate Posted April 22, 2014 Author Report Posted April 22, 2014 O well at least Claude got to rename Winnipeg's favourite sports show.... Hustler & Shooter
Mr Dee Posted April 22, 2014 Report Posted April 22, 2014 C'mon, you're acting like he's the worst Noel.
Floyd Posted April 22, 2014 Report Posted April 22, 2014 I thought it was a nice article until he said "Everything would have been fine if Evander Kane was white. Or even Japanese."
blitzmore Posted April 22, 2014 Report Posted April 22, 2014 I thought it was a nice article until he said "Everything would have been fine if Evander Kane was white. Or even Japanese." pathetic! iso_55 1
