mikey d Posted May 13, 2014 Report Posted May 13, 2014 It was mentioned at the fan forum that the Bombers were going to announce the signing of a "name" LB in the next 24-48 hours. Who will it be? McCune?

Mike Posted May 13, 2014 Report Posted May 13, 2014 Something tells me this may not be a "name" CFLer. If it's Kuale, that's also super underwhelming.
JuranBoldenRules Posted May 13, 2014 Report Posted May 13, 2014 Normally I wouldn't be too excited about Kuale, but I think he could be a real interesting player in a kooky scheme. Blue-urns 1

Well if a good mechanic needs tools, then they might just be getting the right guy. Seriously, I'm for anybody who can fit in whatever system our OC or DC wants to employ. Good results are what the fans want, Im not too particular at this point, how we get them.
M.O.A.B. Posted May 13, 2014 Report Posted May 13, 2014 the big question is... if Etch will like him ?
Goalie Posted May 13, 2014 Report Posted May 13, 2014 Maybe its henoc just kidding, probably not a CFL lb, if it is, regardless of what penton said, i'm gonna go with mccune.
James Posted May 13, 2014 Report Posted May 13, 2014 If Etch didn't like McRath because of his speed, He certainly wont like McCune. While talented, McCune doesn't necessarily have a blazing 40
gbill2004 Posted May 13, 2014 Report Posted May 13, 2014 Kuale also plays DE, FB and TE. O'Shea and Etch will love him. His versatility all but guarantees it's him.
Mike Posted May 13, 2014 Report Posted May 13, 2014 I think it's going to be Simoni Lawrence. It makes sense ...
gbill2004 Posted May 13, 2014 Report Posted May 13, 2014 I think it's going to be Simoni Lawrence. It makes sense ... I saw the Vikings just released him this morning. He'd be great.

Maybe I'm just reading too much into it, but that could be a reason they couldn't give out a name yet last night and Lawrence would be a near perfect fit for what Etcheverry wants to do, even more so than Kuale.
M.O.A.B. Posted May 13, 2014 Report Posted May 13, 2014 He's one (Simoni) of the FA i want the Bombers to target but he went to NFL.It's not too late to pick him up now.
gbill2004 Posted May 13, 2014 Report Posted May 13, 2014 Simoni is 25 years old so could be a long term solution.
IC Khari Posted May 13, 2014 Report Posted May 13, 2014 Was disappointed when we couldn't sign this guy, he is an impact LB
Tracker Posted May 13, 2014 Report Posted May 13, 2014 Lawrence would be a great fit, but there is still a growing list of concerns about Etcheverry.
M.O.A.B. Posted May 13, 2014 Report Posted May 13, 2014 Simoni is 25 years old so could be a long term solution. Hopefully he will give up the NFL and go back to CFL.
IC Khari Posted May 13, 2014 Report Posted May 13, 2014 Lawrence would be a great fit, but there is still a HISTORY of concerns about Etcheverry. Fixed it for ya ...
TBieber Posted May 13, 2014 Report Posted May 13, 2014 Simoni Lawrence made Hamilton's defence so much better last season. Their turnaround started the day they gave him a shot. I thought it would be Kuale, but Lawrence would be a great add. MOBomberFan 1

All we can do at this point is hope that Etcheverry has learnt from his history and will be smart enough to adapt his game plans on the fly during games. That was a hallmark of the team in recent years, both offensively and defensively- the other teams seemed to be able to adapt to whatever we were having success with and we couldn't return the favour.
