Ye's buffet is opening up at the old Mark's Work Wearhouse on St James.....   my friends who have gone to the location in Brandon say it was amazing.    Top quality food at a decent price.   Something that will be reviewed once it opens...

If you are in minny you gotta eat at pizza luce.

I am the biggest carnivore and they are known for gluten free vegan options but the food is so good I go there anyways.

The old Mark's location is very accessible. . . . other than St. James St. having more potholes per square foot than virtually any other place on the earth, perhaps including Mars. Marks has a wonderful new location in a power mall next to CJOB (the old CKY building) but i've only gone once due to high traffic.

Well from what my friends have said Ye's  has high quality stuff (Steaks, Crab,  good seafood etc..) at a similar price to Mongos.    The location in Brandon apparently is massive and has probably twice as much offerings as Buffet Square.

We tried that this spring break, was really good.  If you want a really good burger, head over to The Nook.  Great burger.  My wife likes the noodles at that noodle place they have in the US.  I can't remember the name.

Had late after-game dinner last night at the Logan Corner Chinese restaurant. It was amazing, much better than I expected for late-night Chinese. The pork dumplings were fantastic; the butter chicken is some of the best fried chicken I've ever had. It's not butter chicken like the Indian dish; it's battered and fried. Tender, fresh and delicious.

Then we had to go out to Crown Mazda to get our car's AC fixed and we wound up eating at Chicken Chef on west Portage just near the Perimeter Highway. Got the perogie dinner. Very good chicken and mashed potatos, but perogies were fried to be hard and dry. Got an enormous portion with tons of bacon for the perogies. I brought home half of it.

LOL...you dork.  Olive Garden?  Really?  You think we go to Minneapolis and eat at a restaurant we already have in Canada?

WHAT ARE YOU THINKING!!?!?!?!?

:D

I found it, it's called Noodles and Company.  It's alright, but my wife likes it.

If I ate like that I'd look like Weird Al Yankovic on his "I'm Fat" video from 25 years ago.

Harveys has been open at Portage/Langside for quite some time. Really good and quality management - say hello to Prince if you go.

Harveys also opening at old Chicken Delight location on Corydon/Stafford with a hybrid Harveys/Swiss Chalet duet. Construction seems to proceeding well - I suspect it will open no later than September 1st, perhaps a bit earlier.

Just an update to confirm that is a Harveys/Swiss Chalet at the old Chicken Delight spot at Corydon & Stafford.  Drove by last week & saw that it is now open for business.

When you raise your own meat, the problem with pretty much any restaurant is that it tastes much better at home. I've had a great steak at The Keg but I can make a better one over my fire pit.

You run a ranch? Sell to the public?

I don't love to go out for steak either. Pretty easy to make at home.

We don't raise enough beef to sell any, just enough for ourselves, which happens to be 108 people.

Went to across the board when I was in town this past weekend. Nice concept, good was pretty pricy, but nice variety of games, and would be nice for the occasional get together.
