I downloaded the Android app on my phone. I'll use Chromecast for the family room and get the D+ app for TV in the bedroom. I like the selection. Tons of Mickey cartoons, new and old. Old movies, like Bed knobs and Broomsticks. New Marvels movies, including Endgame. I'm excited to watch The Mandalorian tonight. Mupppets! Some older, cool movies like the Sandlot. The app was slow this morning to show everything but it seems to be loading now. The Unknown Poster 1

Brandon Posted November 12, 2019 Report Posted November 12, 2019 I will be getting Disney Plus once I'm home from work, I'll be using it off a browser and also the Xbox One. I'll give an update once I get a chance to play with it. For those who have not already watched.... Disney has a 3 hour trailer showing all of their shows/movies available on day one.

I am amazed at how big the back catalogue is. Some, great, great old live action movies and Disney films. Edited November 12, 2019 by JCon

Brandon Posted November 13, 2019 Report Posted November 13, 2019 Alrighty I bought the yearly subscription, tried it out on three different devices. On Xbox one it runs flawlessly , menus load quickly and everything was snappy. Same with my Windows 10 computer using Chrome. On my Linux machine using Firefox it wouldn't play the videos. Overall everything is very easy to use (my 7 year old figured it out quickly) , the interface is slick and basic and the video/audio quality seems good to me.
JCon Posted November 13, 2019 Report Posted November 13, 2019 It's been a bit choppy so far casting from my Andriod. I would blame overworked servers and doubt it will be an ongoing issue.
iHeart Posted November 13, 2019 Report Posted November 13, 2019 well it's day one, of course things won't go smoothly
Brandon Posted November 13, 2019 Report Posted November 13, 2019 Mine is streaming smoothly with a mediocre internet speed with MTS. I don't believe however it is streaming at 4k.... I don't see anywhere that you can force it to stream at a higher resolution. Looks 720p to me.....
Noeller Posted November 13, 2019 Report Posted November 13, 2019 Mine had been flawless so far from my Pixel to the Chromecast dongle on my TV. So much content, hard to decide where to begin, even. I'm here mostly for the Marvel content but I'm sure there'll be other stuff (Disney flicks, Simpsons) that well get use out of...

The Unknown Poster Posted November 13, 2019 Author Report Posted November 13, 2019 New true crime docuseries on Netflix. The devil next door. About the guy arrested in the 80’s accused of being Nazi war criminal Ivan the terrible.

iHeart Posted November 14, 2019 Report Posted November 14, 2019 I wonder who else will be effected if there's a purge
Noeller Posted November 14, 2019 Report Posted November 14, 2019 Poor Gord...he's an absolute beauty of a guy. But...high salary = first to go. Such a shame...they'll go with a young kid who's making pennies on the dollar. JCon 1

Releasing the actors from their contracts mean they can hire them back for cheaper $$$. They expect half will sign new deals & they'll bring in new actors for the rest. Soaps are dying off. Only a couple left. JCon 1
