so after doing a little more searching, asides from The Wonder Years. The only other shows that aired their pilots right after the Superbowl that had post game success was Homicide Life on the Street, Family Guy and Undercover Boss (and technically American Dad since it aired right after the Simpsons, and Jimmy Kimmel Live after Alias aired)

Oh well

Remember: this is one of those shows that didn't get a satisfying ending (to most people, thank god Glee had a happy ending)

I think the original series may have aired on Freeform back in the day but I'm not sure

CORRECTION: it aired on SOAPnet in the US

The Gang is going to keep on going long after I'm dead

The Wimpy Kid books won't stay on the shelf at work, I can only imagine how crazy it would get if they announced one for Dork Diaries, or Raina Telgemeier's Graphic Memoirs (which actually would be the trigger that would get me to get Disney+ on my own)

Night Court was fantastic, and Laroquette is an awesome actor. Fully deserving of his 4 Emmys in a row. He had a role in a Bobby Moynehan-led sitcom a couple of years ago that didn't get the love it deserved. With Melissa Rauch (Bernadette on BBT) presumably playing Harry Anderson's daughter on this new incarnation of NC, I'm going to be very interested...

Laroquette had drank himself out of a career prior to being cast in Night Court and a sitcom about an off-hours bus depot manager. The character in the latter was in recovery and it played a large part in the writing- right up to Laroquette's character's sponsor (played by David Stills) committing suicide.  In one of the episodes, a hooker was involved in an existential conversation about whether there was a God. Her response, when asked if she believed in God, was. " Well. I hear His name a lot." Hilarious.

It will be weird hearing her in a non squeeky  high pitch voice.

she's an extremely attractive lady, and when NOT in Bernadette mode, she's an absolute rocket. Not that it has anything to do with anything....just sayin'......

I loved Night Court. Cheers and Night Court were an awesome combo.

RIP Harry Anderson.

Still love watching Brent Spiner on Night Court. But I also loved it. Cheers was good until Kirstie Alley.

Night court was a very entertaining show and hit some high spots. Cheers was on just before that and people could never understand that when we were celebrating and the salute of CHEERS rang  out, I would follow up with NIGHT COURT!

That’s probably the court Rudy is ready for...
