It isn't Peter Jackson's work, so it's going to be different. I think it's going to be really entertaining all the same, though.

I hope so- so much lore and quite the universe for story possibilities.

Finally finished the Sandman- quite good. Very good adaptation of the comics.

So I took a look at my DVR and CMT Canada is going to be picking up Cheers and Spin City, okay this is kind of exciting because I don't think I have ever seen Spin City on a DVR schedule in the 15 years we've had digital cable

That's pretty cool. Cheers is an all-time great show. I wonder how it holds up today?

Spin City was genius.

Why can't they put the content they used to air on the service? I know a good chunk of it is on youtube (hell as we speak Blacktree tv is uploading episodes of the Triplets) and by that I mean the stuff made by Nelvana, Cinar, etc, I mean what i wouldn't give to see Ned's Newt on tv again or watching the Triplets while waiting for the school bus to come (I literally started crying when more episodes were available on youtube) or watching Duckman behind my parents back on a friday night (I know it's not Canadian content but I'm old enough to remember when the network aired it) honestly they need to give adults a reason to get excited about this

I would be concerned that the increased prize money will spur people (stoopid people) to set up very risky scenarios to try to cash in.

eh a good chunk of the time the prize money goes to families

Who can equally stupid things- ever watch "Honey boo-Boo"?

no but they had a whole reality show, which was a spinoff of another show, different situation

Man there must be a shortage of submissions if they are upping the prize money

makes me long for the days when TLC was The Learning Channel....and had a decent children't programming lineup in the morning

they are going into their 10th season maybe they should consider ending it instead of going the MASH route and just having the Korean War go on 8 years too long (the Vietnam War wasn't that long...was it?)

https://tvline.com/2022/08/30/the-goldbergs-killing-jeff-garlin-leaving-murray-season-10-abc/

Vietnam was officially 8 for the USA but unofficially longer 13-14.

man we are running out of people I've heard of, I only recognize 8

I'm sure Wayne Brady will get far (I mean have you seen him on Whose Line? that mirror will go great with his Masked Singer Trophy)

but the story's not over, they're going to adapt The Testaments
